Biography |
Well where do i start? My life hasnt really been all that interesting so far, i'm kinda waiting for it to pick up any day now! lol. But i'll start at the beginning. I was born February 28th 1881 in Mississauga, Canada, So officially i'm Canadian although i've never lived there for any period of time worth mentioning. Then when i was about 3 months old me my mom, my dad and my older brother Gary upped sticks and moved to Greenbay, Wisconsin. Greenbay is great, i love it to death, we were living in a great little house on the westside, it was perfect, right by my school, my friends and the mall. So anyway i went to Joseph Mason Elementary School, whcih was alright, there, it was elementary school, no one really remembers a great deal about it! But none the less it was fun! |
This is me at my 9th Birthday Party! |
So anyway, after elementary school i went to Southwanston Junior High, That was alright i suppose as far as junior high goes. Although it wasnt one of my happiest times because my dad passed away when i was in 4th grade. After that i kinda slipped into my own world. But you can read more about that time of my life in Dedicated to Daddy. When i hit high school i guess thats when things got rough for me. My dad had died and me and my mom werent getting along all that well. Plus your always stuck with that cliqueyness of high school. Because i wasnt a soccer player or a cheerleader, i was a nobody so i pretty much kept myself to myself. I would say i was unpopular, i wasnt a nerd or anything, i had my own little group of friends who i still love dearly to this day so it i wasnt bad off really. When i was a sophomore in High School i really wasnt interested in school and could never be bothered to go so most of the days i wouldnt! lol. But my guidence councellor soon caught up with me and realized there was a problem. She said i had too much negative energy and had to get rid of it some how so the soccer team was sugested and then the track time and the band but i wasnt really excited by that idea so i decuded to sign up for community drama to keep her off my back for a while. I couldnt have made a better decision if i tried. I really got into drama, but not just the acting. Also singing and stage production too, so i was spending most of my spare time in the drama studio creating somethig or another! When i was a junior my drama teacher pulled me aside one day and told me about this other girl in my grade who was graduating a year early cuz she excelled in Chemestry and wanted to go to College to get a diploma in it. She then suggested that i apply for college a year early and go as a drama student. At first i thought she was kidding, i had just turn 16, there was no way i was ready to go to leave home and i didnt want to end up in Wisconsin State Uni with the rest of my high school so i kinda dismissed it on the spot. |
This is me in Drama Club when i was about 16 |
Right after the Christmas before i was due to turn 17 things got really bad for me at school, there was this one girl who was just constantly picking on me for a reason that to this day is still a mystery to me. At first i shrug it off but she was getting pretty mean so i strted to think more and more about college and more and more about getting away. So i went back to my drama teacher and asked her if i could still apply. Luckily i had a week lest to get my applications and audition tapes together. This made me realize how short a week is! I had to select 4 Colleges i would be interested in and send everything off. I finally decided on NYU, Arizona, Cinncinati and Florida State. A month later I got offers from everywhere but NYU. However Florida offered something different, They wanted a talent scout to come up and see me and if they liked me would offer me a full Scholarship in Music and Performing Arts. Obviously i was thrilled and nervous as hell. But what did i have to lose? My mom had already re married and i didnt have anything to stay for so i wrote myself a monogue. Generally about the way i was feeling at the time. It worked! I got in! I left Wisconsin at 17 and never looked back! |
