Personal Experience:
Originally grown by Norm Craven of Canada, this sunflower has the largest growth potential of any of the sunflowers I've grown.  It has a growing season longer than any other variety on the market.  It was the first sunflower I planted, but the last to flower.  If you are serious about breaking records for height then this is the variety for you.  It has an incredible girth, with a stem base circumfrence on my 12 foot plant reaching 10 inches.  I've seen leaves on these plants exceed 2 feet in length and nearly as wide.  I've had heads grow over 20 inches in diameter.  The plants have a tendancy to have quite a bit of splitting on the main stem from rapid growth, but with no seemingly harmful effects.
