In 1978 (February 19), during her elementary school years, she and her brother moved to Chicago (USA) to be with their father. From the windy city Chicago they settled in Houston, Dallas and Washington, D.C, respectively. It was in 1988 at a Dallas nightclub where Sung Hi was discovered by her future agent Jim Whitehead.
