Looking for something,

I know not what.

I didn't even know it was missing,

Until I found it with you.

My life was happy, or so l thought,

Content, but somehow unsatisfied?

Something's missing.

Is this all there is?

An emptiness, a void,

Looking for an answer,

But not even sure of the question.

Feeling incomplete.

Resigned to the fact

that this is it,

To want more,

To expect more,

To dream of more,

Is unrealistic.

Foolish fantasy.

Get your head out of the clouds

And back to reality

Then out of who knows where

you appear,

Like some magic trick,

Out of thin air,

Or were you always hiding there,

In the shadows,

Just waiting for the right time,

To capture my heart.
