Personal statement of intent:
All of my life I have been told that I must bite my tongue, be quiet, be polite, and be acceptable-what they really meant was I was too sharp-tongued, too  boisterous, too raucous, and unacceptable the way God made me.  It took most of my life to find a voice  that spoke volumes without uttering a sound. Now without having to defend myself or hide my heart or deny my spirit-I create.

Biography
I have never quite "fit the mold" or the expectations of others. I left school at sixteen years of age to marry and one year later was divorced. Twenty-six years later I wanted desperately to make something of my life and returned to high school to complete my diploma. That went well, so I decided I would go on to higher education and at the age of forty-seven recieved my degree in fine art.
I never guessed the hardest part would be in front of me and I embarked on carving a niche in the "art world". I am still striving to realize that goal.  Expressing myself in that same non-traditional way that my life's path has always followed may make or break me, but it is the only way I can be true to myself.
