My husband and I are avid roleplayers. We like to play White Wolf's World of Darkness, but usually only Vampire and Werewolf. We also have a roleplaying group here that likes to play the new edition of Dungeon's and Dragons. We currently have a good D&D game going where my husband plays a minotaur tank (fighter) and I play a halfling cleric. The minotaur is not the most intelligent character and has taken to calling my cleric "half thing". The minotaur doesn't speak common, so he has this electric bird that sits on his shoulder that is actually more intelligent then he is, whom he calls Zap, and the bird translates for him from common to giant and then from giant to common. My halfling does speak giant, but she still thinks the translating bird is funny. The minotaur also owns a rabbit. The rabbits, our DM's (dungeon master) own creation can grow over 11 feet tall, so Mr. Minotaur got the brilliant idea of taking a "war bunny" into battle. When his rabbit is full size, the minotaur will be able to ride this rabbit into battle. Talk about strange. Roleplaying is a fun way to relieve stress and to escape the pressures of daily life, if only for a few hours on the weekend. I highly suggest you try it. It is most rewarding. I do believe in the PVPonline link below in his rants section there is a list of reasons why roleplaying is good for a person. It's very interesting. |
