We are twin sisters living on a fixed income. This year we have each been in the hospital at least twice each. And more surgeries are coming for Rainbow. She will be having open heart...a double by pass in July or August this year as medically treating her heart problem was not successful.
Rainbow nearly died from serious diabetic complications and had a heart attack. I had mandatory surgery on
my foot due to diabetic complications and returned to the hospital to have a non-cancerous
TEN POUND tumor removed, resulting in a full hysterectomy. My foot is healing SOME now but I have been told now that I have nerve damage that may keep me in this power wheelchair. We have both applied for disability, but as everyone knows, that takes a while...even then you sometimes don't get it. Neither of us can WORK even though we would LOVE to!
As of May 2007, Rainbow now has had a diabetic foot ulcer also, caused by her foot being punctured by a wire and is now also going thru recuperation and daily care for that. Its been a difficult time for us.

As of July 2007, Sunny has been tenatively diagnosed with possible Ataxia a condiition that has affected her mobility, coordination and balance. We really could use your help if you see something you like! All items listed are available. For Info about Ataxia, please go to www.ataxia.org
