Dear waiting child:
You have waited long
for the fulfillment of your desires.
You are near the point of despair,
tired of waiting,
afraid to trust,
doubtful if your dreams
will ever come true,
wondering if your dreams
have been in vain.
But I say to you,
"Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:14)
I am your Lord.
I am your shield.
Trust me to work in your behalf.
My timing is always perfect.
I am always on time.
Recapture your dreams.
Wait patiently.
I will not be late.
Declare with the psalmist,
"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope" (Psalm 130:5)
Put your hope and trust in me.
Wait in confidence.
I will not fail you.
Be not afraid.
I am your help and your shield.
