 Left Shanghai for Xi'an on Sept 5th by 5.45pm train from Shanghai Railway Station. Took the soft sleeper lower bunk seat, sharing a compartment with 3 other person. Cost of ticket RM551. One can also choose the option of hard sleeper, where there would be no compartment and ticket price will be cheaper. As it's my first long journey trip alone on a train, I chose the soft sleeper with compartment for comfort and safety on the long ride. My ticket was purchased in advance from the ticketing office in XiZhang Road (next door to YMCA & walking distance to People's Square). |
