So what does this mean?
Our birth by water is our natural birth, and our birth of the Spirit is the second birth we have when we surrender our lives to God and accept Christ, His only begotten Son as our Personal Savior who died on the cross that we may have eternal life! We cannot re-enter into the mother's womb, as Jesus explained in the Bible, but our spirit must be reborn and this rebirth of our spirit is when God's Spirit comes and dwells in us.
This is the Born Again Experience. Jesus says it is a mystery.
And that it gives us eternal life, not here on earth, but in Heaven ...
When we do this with our whole self and are able to put any doubt behind us, then we are truly saved and blessed with the Holy Spirit. People will see changes in your life! Then when someone asks you "are you saved?" you can say, "Yes, Praise the Lord."
There is a most wonderful heaven and when we are saved and die, through Christ this will be our dwelling place forever eternally after this life on earth is over. A place of peace and contentment, love and health, of children and aged all alike and so beautifully whole.
In order to find God when we cannot find Him within ourselves by ourselves we need to be subjected to people who are filled with the Holy Spirit for the Spirit radiates His presence to us to do what we have not the courage to do alone. He said we should gather together as Christians.
Be not ashamed to know Him on earth and He will not be ashamed or
embarrassed to know you in Heaven before His Father. To really believe and trust is wonderful. When you finally make that step, which is between you and God, you will not be embarrassed, but overjoyed and triumphant because you heard His voice and obeyed when He beckoned to you.
After this, it seems you have so much courage you just want everybody you know to feel the same and you will find yourself telling others of Christ. You will be able to enjoy real Christian fellowship. Always, because we are only human, we will weaken and worry, but we will know we have our Lord to turn to for help, for He is our advocate with the Father and He helps us to be able to cope better and deal better with the things that used to bother and discourage us.
Prayer and the Word to a Christian is his food for his soul and spirit as surely as what he eats is food for the body. For it does for the soul what food does for the body. It gives it strength and helps it grow.
And Christianity is a growth process just as life is a growth process ... We receive more from God as we have the Faith to receive!
