Yessongs is Yes' first transitional live album, part of the album includes: the drumming expertise of Bill Bruford, the other part is that of the new drummer-Alan White. Yessongs is a superb documentation of the early period, including such magnificent works as: Close To The Edge, parts of Fragile and The Yes Album. The performances are spectacular, esp. Chris Squire's expanded version of The Fish. Alan White's drumming is very good considering the fact that he had very little practice time with these epic songs before he substituted for Bill Bruford on the Close To The Edge tour.
