When Lee Brennan, Spike Dawbarn and Jimmy Constable moved into a grotty
flat in Glasgow in 1995, they opened the first chapter in the story of one
of the decades most successful and popular bands.
At the time, however, only three people really believed that this story
would one day include a single chart-topping song - let alone enough to
fill a brilliant Greatest Hits Album. Those three people, of course, were
Jimmy, Spike and Lee and the arrival of this collection less than five
years later is perfect proof that their early faith was justified: with
hard work, talent and a little bit of luck dreams can come true.
