The Cemetery of Rock

R.I.P.

John Bonham

of Led Zeppelin

Date of Birth: May 31, 1948
Date of Death: September 23, 1980

Cause of Death: Choked on his own vomit after an all night drinking binge.

Final Resting Place: Rushock Parish Church, near Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England.

Claim to Fame: Drummer for heavy rock pioneers Led Zeppelin. His frantic and pounding drumming style made them a heavier band. Led Zeppelin broke up because of 'Bonzo's death, they just couldn't go on without him. Who knows where Led Zep would have gone in the 80s had Bonham lived. Check out his drum solo 'Moby Dick' on the the double live Led Zep album 'The Song Remains The Same'.
