I like all things nautical. Seahores, seashells, wading in the surf, digging for Cape May Diamonds. Visiting lighthouses. Favorite ships are Tall ships and tugboats. Would you believe I can't swim? Favor anything water; bays, rivers, streams, creeks and of course oceans. Favorite travel is by trains and cars, and motorhomes. Occassionally I do freelance Photo/Journalism and I like to write stories and some poetry. I also dabble in some art, (not good enough to do more than that). I'm a Red Cross Volunteer. My zodiac sign is Gemini and yes I am incurably romantic, flirty, adventurous, an intellectual airhead (lol) and single. |
Reading, writing and photography. Nature, walking in parks, picnics. Country music, blues, dixieland jazz, and all other kinds. Crafts, ceramics, art, Holidays. Genealogy, just starting my family tree. |
Good Family, many of them, more about them later. Three children, all grown. Oldest son's home backs up to a wildlife preserve. He takes after me in that respect, it's one of my favorite places to hike through. Middle daughter's home sits on a river with a great view. She takes after me in that I love to sit and gaze at the river and watch the big ships and the tugboats of cousre. The youngest one is single and lives with me. We live near a railroad line. I guess that's why we both love trains so much. |
Many good friends, but then if they are friends that's what's good about them. Some like casinos, flea markets, park walking or just driving in the country. What I like most about them is when they call and say the three little words I like to hear the most, "Let's Eat Out". |
SNICKLEFRITZ Queen of the night who rules the house by day. She is a beautiful pinkish orange color and lightly striped. My grandchildren had just found her, rescuing her from a stalking pit bull and brought her to me to protect. Since our previous 19 year old orange cat had passed on to cat heaven, we decided that if no one claimed her we would keep her. No one did, so we did. She hadn't been named yet so when my 2 yearold great granddaughter ran in the front door to see the new cat and stopped in her tracks with her hand over her heart screaming piercingly loud "It's Snicklefritz" that became her name. We later learned the name was from a children's TV show and did indeed look like her namesake. I think she believes she is the very one and we don't have the heart to tell her any different yet. |
My Pet: Snicklefritz |
First, lets get it straight. I am Never growing up! I want to be taller, thinner, richer and younger. My house wants to be a Victorian Mansion over- looking the Ocean at Cape May, NJ. My Van wants to be an Orange Mercedes Benz Convertable. |

Other good books I have read in the past. There are so many I have to limit them. I am an avid reader and average one book a week, if I can. |
The Story |
My best friend Betty and my friend and photo partner Tony, at Rock Hall, Md. We had dinner here and watched the sun set on the water. |
One of the things many people can be thankful for is the Red Cross and its dedicated volunteers. Yes thats me and my trusty camera hanging off my shoulder as usual and another friend I made. |

My evening Photo of waves slapping on the rocks in front of the Cape May lighthouse. |
Middle One-Susie and her family. We've always been a family that did things together. Gary is hanging on for dear life, but Jessica seems to think she can go it alone. |

Youngest son Mike and me at his graduation from Community College. He went on to Missouri University and I was fortunate to attend his graduation from there, too. |
One of Mike's interests is trains. He has traveled on them cross country and in Europe and the Chunnel. When he sent me a train ticket to attend his graduation from Mizzo I was delighted. After 2-1/2 days each way I am convinced that train travel is a great way to go. |
When not gardening, Susie works as a computer operator. |

Fred and his first Grandson. It looks like they are checking each other out. They must have decided they liked each other because now they are buddies. |

How proud can a mother be than when her daughter graduates from high school? When her son does too. |
It's a family tradition. Susie and I both graduated from community college and her brothers Fred (Truck Driving School, and Mike (University.) |
Mike has traveled by trains and now travels to Europe by trains and planes. |
I love a parade |
