Whats New For '76-Rectangular quad headlamps replace round ones. Parking lamps are now below the headlamps instead of in the bumper as on '71-'75 models. There was a Crown Landau option for the Royale coupe. It included a unique padded landau roof that covered the rear quarter window. Color keyed wheelcovers, a stand-up hood orniment and a Royale emblem on the rear-quarter inner panel were also included.

Identifying a '76- '76 Delta 88's are built on the same B-body platform as '71-'75 Delta 88's. This was the only year of that body style to include rectangular quad headlamps(all others had round). This was also the only year of the 1971-1976 body style to have the park/turn lamps below the headlamps and not in the bumper as well as wraparound side marker lenses. From the front doors forward the '76 Delta 88 is identical to the '76 Ninety-Eight with the exception of the grille which is composed of two rectangles on each side of the center divider on Delta 88's and an eggcrate pattern on Ninety-Eights.
