| "Scratching the Surface" Event (The Healing Hands Project: see below) |

| I am working with other survivors and organizations, trying to get this project off the ground. I wanted to display this project at the "Scratching the Surface" Event in New York. I am asking survivors of sexual abuse to draw or trace their handprint on an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper. It can be decorated in any way and may include name and location. Anything you'd like displayed about yourself. These prints can be emailed or postal mailed to me and I intend to scan them into my computer. Once I get enough handprints, I will put them together into a musical montage. I will then try to post this video on the internet for all to view and have it displayed at the event in New York. Please pitch in and decorate a handprint!!!!! PLEASE still send me prints. This is an ongoing project and I will add prints to the montage as I get a chance to update it! |

| A HUGE THANKS to all of those survivors who gave me their handprints. I am still incorporating new ones in and updating periodically, so PLEASE continue to send me your handprint designs. I am truly disappointed to say that I could not get the sound downloaded to play with the montage, which was half of the specialness of the video. I used "Return to Innocence" by Enigma and "True Colors" by Lauper. The sound does work with PowerPoint, so if anyone would like a copy, let me know and I'll try to get you a copy. Also, some of the graphics are memory intensive and take awhile to fully download. In the meantime, if anyone can FIX MY PROBLEM with the sound, it would be a GREAT HELP!!!!!!! Thanks, and Enjoy this current version of the Healing Hands Project! |
