The Color of Feelings

I awake to a new day What kind of day is it? Maybe it's a yellow day The sun is warm and shining It is happy and full of possibilities Maybe it's a clear blue day Comforting and encouraging My direction clear Maybe it's a green day Angry and frustrating Feelings rushing to be heard Maybe it's a red day Passionate and heated Full of intensity, heartbeat quickening Maybe it's a pink day Soft and gentle Soothingly caressing my body Maybe it's a gray day Sad and depressing Feelings of gloom overwhelming Maybe it's an orange day Strange and uncertain The unknown lurking around the corner Maybe it's a purple day Powerful and exhilarating Yet at the same time safely familiar and nurturing Maybe it's a brown day Boring and usual Restlessness runs amuck But usually it's a rainbow day Many colors flickering in and out Many feelings to understand and envelop me
