This page is dedicated to Dr. David J. Lien, our club's founder and a lifetime member of the SVAA. Dave's career has taken him on to other challenges, but he leaves behind his enthusiasm for the night sky.

The Susquehanna Valley Amateur Astronomers was founded in the fall of 1990 at Bucknell University (right) with the intent of promoting amateur astronomy throughout central Pennsylvania's Susquehanna Valley.

We are currently holding meetings at a variety of locations, chosen by the membership on a month-to-month basis to meet our club's needs. Watch the news page or subscribe to the Yahoo group for the latest information.

Our members have diversified interests and our Gallery section highlights some of these. So whether your interest is astrophotography, telescope making or you are just starting out, we invite you to come out and share with us, the wonder that is, the night sky.
