Antigua

Antigua

Antigua is about 90 miles southeast of St. Martin. Our passage here was pretty easy since the winds were light from the south or south-southeast. A fairly expensive place but very nice. Jolly Harbour, where we checked in, is just north of Jolly Beach (makes sense).

English Harbour and Shirley Heights, in the south, are not to be missed - tremendously rich in history. Admiral Nelson fans (and Patrick O'Brian fans) take note.

We were here from March 6 to March 31, 2001.
