No Kai Collage
In 1977, Tomo
No Kai, which translates from Japanese into English
as "Association of Friends," was founded as a
Japanese/Japanese American social club for University of
California, Irvine (UCI) students and staff. Once
only a social club, Tomo No Kai
prides itself in being involved both culturally and in the
community.
"Its members are encouraged
to meet others of various backgrounds to develop
friendships and to support one another. These
friendships are strengthened by different social
activities such as bonfires, midnight fast food runs, and
retreats."
