Ramps are perhaps the simplest thing you can make your hamster. They require a minimum amount of work and skill yet they are great ways to provide your hamster with a way to reach a high platform in its cage. Materials: - wood - approximately 10 cm wide, fairly thin (depth); - any length - saw - sandpaper Procedure: 1. Take your piece of wood and sand any rough areas and remove splinters. 2. Cut slits 1 or 2 mm deep every centimetre along the wood; this will serve as grip for your hamster. Your ramp is now done! Lean it up against a high platform for your hamster to use it. If your hamster tends to knock it down often, tie it to the platform with a piece of string or wire by drilling a hole in the platform and at the top of the ramp. |
