Background Most people look at beautiful photos when their computer's screensaver turns on. Why not turn those moments into reminders of difficult words? Why not expose yourself or your child to challenging words? HIGHLIGHTS The photos used in the Screensaver Words series come from the collection of JK McCrea, photographer. DONATION: One tree is sponsored in a tropical location for each CD that is purchased. Plant-Trees.org and TreesWaterPeople.org are suppliers of the planted trees. How many trees has CDsForParents.com sponsored? Key Points: 1. The target words are large enough for most people to read at least 10 feet from the computer screen. 2. Some SAT vocabulary words ("difficult words") are shown alone without the words from another language. At present, only Spanish words are available on ScreensaverWords.com but other languages are planned and partners are invited to help find words and phrases to translate. |
Typical Format Upper left: a difficult word Lower left: a definition and a sentence that uses the word Upper right: a word in another language (Spanish) with the definition on the bottom of the photo Photo ID: a city or region name will be given. |

social Gregory is a very gregarious boy -- he is alsways inviting friends over to his house. |
Some photos include tips on how to remember the target words. For example, Gregory is gregarious. Think of a friendly boy named Gregory. Perro sounds like "PAIR ro" so there are a pair of dogs, rowing across the river? What works for you to remember We remember when we are surprised, delighted, or shocked. How can we like DOG to PAIR ROW? |
