NEWS (most recent - top) 21 March 04 Well, it's two days after the Beulah gig and we're still on a high. We consider that performance to be the best we've played yet, and it was also the first time we used the Die Sere from Verdi's Requiem to come onstage too - which was fun. We also had 35 copies of our album, and we managed to sell them all, so thank you! Thank you SO much to everyone who came to the gig, and hopefully we'll play another one in the future. ROCK ON!!! 11 Feb 04 Well hello everyone. Today was a great day as none other than Duran Duran experienced the sound of Tankus the Henge. They came into the studio as Incomprehensible Silent Fantasies was being mixed, and we got great reactions from them (woohoo!) They took a copy of the CD away with them too... Also this Friday it's ONE YEAR since the bands first experimental gig at the BRIT school, this included friends performing such as Polly Scattergood and Kevin Schell. It was the gig that said "This is our band and this is what we do" the first over the top, prog rock performance there. It's been a good year. 7th Jan 04 Well a happy new year to everyone! So, the new Tankus the Henge EP is circulating the wonder that is Croydon, and beyond! It's called the howling tree ep and features the pieces green, oh howling tree, and a live version of Tohlkas Tmie. Request a copy from the MSN group. two words to describe it: PLAY LOUD 2nd Dec 03 Thanks to everyone who came to Beanos, it was fantastic. Great to see so many people there, it was packed out! Laying aside the few technical problems we seemed to encounter, it was an amazing gig for us, never played that intimately before and we loved it. We also got an offer to join the Croydon Record Label and appear on their first release. Thanks Tony at Beanos for all you did for us! 16th Nov 03 Well the Nightshift gig didn't go as planned. due to circumstances Tankus the Henge never played there. Oh well. Rock on Beanos! 2nd Nov 03 Four gigs for this month confirmed - see gigs page for details. MSN group now up. http://groups.msn.com/tankus |
