Reginald Jarrett: (b. March 14, 1914, d. February 2, 1986). Maureen's Father. Retired from Manganese, Bronz and Brass. Loved working in his allotments behind their home on Cemetery Rd.
Robert Jarrett: (b. February 21, 1954). Robert's wife is Sandra (b. March 20, 1957). They have four children Darren, Marie, Rachel, and Sean. Anthony Jarrett: (b. March 3, 1956). Anthony is divorced from Susan (b. November 20, 1957) and have three children; Son John died at three month (November 1979). Joanne, son (?) and Benjamin.
Stanley Dickerson: (deceased). Stanley's wife Eileen. Audrey's brother and sister-in-law lived in Ipswich and have no children. Arthur Dickerson:(deceased). Arthur's wife Paula(deceased).. Audrey's brother and sister-in-law lived in Ipswich and have two children Desmond and Clyde. Cecil Jarrett: (b. June 29, 1908). Reginald's brother (deceased). Wife Ellen 'Nell' (deceased). They had two children, Sylvia (deceased 1937) and Joyce, married to Roy Alcock. Children Sharon and Laura. Lilian (Jarrett) Baker: (b. July 3, 1910). Husband James (deceased). Reginald's sister. She lived at Spring Lodge Residential Home in Ipswich. Doris (Jarrett) McLeod:(deceased). (b. April 4, 1912, d. May 2000): Reginald's sister Doris's husband John (d. May 1956). Doris has one child Christine, married to John Watson. Children Wayne, married to Lynn, and Lisa, married to Andrew. They all are living in Ipswich. Clarence Jarrett: (b. December 27, 1915, d. June 5, 1988). Reginald's brother. Wife Dorothy (d. September 9th,1998). They had two children, David, married to Lynn. Children Carl and Gavin. Richard, married to Mary. Children Nicola and Paul. They all lived in Ipswich. Donald Jarrett: (b. January 29, 1918). Reginald's brother (deceased). Leslie Jarrett: (b. February 22, 1921, d. May 7, 1981). Reginald's brother. Wife Peggy (b. September 25, 1923, d. September 22, 1993). They had two children, Leslie, married to Kate (Divorced). Children Thomas and Clare. Now living in (?)and Julia, married to Dereck McLonache. They all lived in Ipswich. Joan (Jarrett) King: (b. September 23, 1923). Reginald's sister. Joan's husband Tom (b. January 29, 1926)(deceased).. One child Jean, married to Michael 'Mick' Sumner. Children Matthew and Kerri, married to Neil Clements. Joan lives in Ipswich.
Pickles and Dave Norris: Our first home at 10 Bennett Road! Deanna (Pickles) was a good friend of Maureen's before we married. We spent the first several months after marriage sharing rooms in their home.Their daughter (?) was in our wedding party in 1963. They have two other daughters Lynn and Lisa. Fred Collins: Wife: Sandra. Fred, along with his Mum,(deceased). are very dear friends of ours. Everytime we made the trek to England, Fred furnished us with a car to use. Fred lives with his Mum at Bentley, Suffolk. He recently suffered a heart attack and is recovering nicely but had to give up his business of repairing and selling cars. Fred has always loved American cars and he was my mechanic for my 1954 Ford while stationed at RAF Bentwaters
1991: Lorna Jarrett, daughter of Sue and Graham were next to visit Massachusetts. 1994: Wendy and John Brinkley again visited us, this time here in Arizona. 1995: Our visitors to Arizona were Audrey and Marie, Roberts daughter. They met us in Massachusetts for the June wedding of our daughter Deborah. After some siteseeing there, we all came here to Arizona. They enjoyed their short time here and want to return soon.
1999: We had the pleasure of a visit from Maureen's Mum, Audrey, and Marie Jarrett again. They arrived here in Arizona on April 20th, 1999 headed back to England on May 4th, 1999. Visited the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff. Also Sunset Crater, Wupatki Indian Ruins and Montazumas Castle Ruins. Kept busy with th interesting Tucson sights also. Had a surprise visit also from Jodie with our Grandaughter Markayla from MA, and also our Daughter, Debbie, from MA.
Our first time back to England was in 1972, seven years after arriving in Massachusetts. We have managed to return several times since. IPSWICH...Remember the Early 60's: The Gondolier Coffee House; The Rondevous Pub; Pirate Radio; Radio Luxemburg; Pound (quid) Sterling=$2.80 large note; Guinea, Schilling (bob), Sixpence (tanner), Thrupence, Farthing, Ha'penny, Big Penny; Bowling alley (opening); The Ancient House Bookstore; Christchurch Mansion; Footmans Department Store; Wimpy's, Not McDonalds or Burger King; Warm Beer and Warm Coke or Squash; No Ice Cubes (or penny apiece); Less Traffic; Fish and Chips (Rock Eel, Rock Cod, Sole, Plaice) in Lard and Wrapped in Newspaper; Roundabouts (still, plus mini roundabouts); Prams; How many pounds in a Stone?...14 lbs; My 1951 Ford Consul and 1954 American Ford; Felixtowe (hotdogs?) and Minsmere Beaches; Ipswich FC Championship, Parade, and Queen's Visit; No Heat in House; Coal Fireplaces; Zed-Cars and Coronatin Street (still); BBC and Anglia TV (only); Country Pub at Ashbocking; Guy Fawkes; Cattle and Buttermarket; Electric House; Tele License (and wireless); Double-Decker Busses (Red & Green); YMCA on Norwich Rd; Late night(?) Bus ride back to base; Hot Water(?) and Outdoor Plumbing; Chinese Restaurant (Capitol, I think); Any More?
