This tutorial is one of my own creations...

You may link to this tutorial. What you create with this
Tutorial is yours to do with whatever you choose. I only
claim the tutorial itself.
I've numbered all lines that are more than one or two pixels...
Don't worry about the spacing, because,
it will all space itself out properly.
Remember to SAVE... and OFTEN!
Just some things to know before we start... you will use
your magic wand and your flood fill a bit in this tutorial...
so here is what they look like for anyone that is new to paintshop pro...
(I am using psp 7 but this can be done with psp 8 as well)
open a new image... 120 x 120
It'll be small, but that's ok.
We are gonna first make a wing...
Set foreground color to #808080
When your wing's outline is done, go to your magic wand,
and click into the outline... then flood fill with white...
Keep selected...
Go to Layers, New Raster Layer, go to Effects,
3d Effects... Cutout... using these settings:
vertical: -1
horizontal: 1
opacity: 100
blur: 8.8
shadow color: #808080
fill interior with color: unchecked
now, our wing needs some detailing to give it a nicer look :o)...
so, add a new layer...make lines to help the
wing appear layered (like a real wing)
When you are done, duplicate this layer and then
X it out to hide it... and click on the original
layer where your detail lines are to make it active..
Now, Go to Effects... Blur... Gaussian Blur....
Radius: 0.70
Now, uncheck the duplicated layer we X'd out...
This is what you should have now:
Save as wing.psp.... so we can use it later.
Open a new canvas of 120 x 120
Set Foreground color to #800000...
brush size 1... Square
Go up to View... Zoom in by 5...
When your outline is done, go to your
magic wand, and click into the outline...
then flood fill with this color: #C00000
Keep selected and add a New Layer...
go to Effects, 3d Effects... Cutout...
using these settings:
vertical: -1
horizontal: 1
opacity: 100
blur: 8.8
shadow color: #800000
fill interior with color: unchecked
deselect and merge (Layers, Merge, Merge Visible)
Now up to Effects, Noise... Add... Noise 10%... uniform...
Then, View, Normal Viewing
Time to add the wings :o)
open your wing.psp image that we made first and saved...
Layers, New Raster Layer, this layer will go
under the heart layer. Click onto your wing image,
and go to Edit, Copy, then Paste as a New Layer
onto the heart image... Duplicate or paste the
wing again... then go to Image... Mirror and
mirror one of the wings.... position each wing
onto the heart... making sure both wings are under the heart...
~I've renamed my layers to show how they should
be positioned on your layer palette~
Go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible... and save..
