The Minister For Immigration,Ruddock confirmed on February 17 2003  that 120 children were in Australian Immigration Detention Centres as of December

79 0f them being under12. .

Each child would spend an average 15 months behind the razor wire,1 child has been detained for 5 and a half years.

Each one of these detainees are subject to routine strip searching
