My name is Idil P. Izmirli. I was born in Istanbul, Turkey. My father was born in Gezlev (Evpatoria), Crimea, and my mother was born in Chita, Siberia, Russia.
I received an MA degree from the Sociology Department, George Mason University. My master thesis was entitled "Assimilation or Separatism: A Case Study of Third-Wave Soviet Jewish Immigrants in the United States". You can view my diploma at http://www.oocities.org/tatarnoyan/idildip.tif
Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate and an adjunct faculty at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR), George Mason University, Fairfax, VA.
In addition, I am an adjunct faculty in General Studies Department at Strayer University, Arlington, VA Campus.
