As of August 2004, I left JET and moved to Hiroshima. Although this site will no longer be updated, I am currently participating in the creation of a new (more professional) website aimed at providing people with comprehensive information on daily life in Japan, particularly in the Hiroshima area. It's still in the early stages of development, but if you want to know more about Japan, would like more information on the basics of day-to-day living, or are interested in traveling in Western Japan, please check out our site: HOL

Updates:
10/18 Well, no new material just
yet, but Ive renovated the page. Like it? Ill be updating again soon, once Ive
written up a report on my trip to Seoul
and the Demilitarized Zone at the North Korean border. Ciao.
8/18 Ohisashiburi! Yep, Ive
been slacking again. ^_~
Actually, Ive been REALLY busy. Im helping out with this years JET
Programme Orientation for the latecomers, I went on a 10-day vacation, and
my parents came in for the first week and a half of the month. Whew.
Well anyway, I dont have any material for my regular journal, but I
have added an outline of my trip to Vietnam. Its quite sloppy, as Im in a hurry at
the moment (I leave for Tokyo
tomorrow morning), so bear with me.
Oh yeah, I almost
forgot! Its my one-year anniversary
in Japan! (With only 7 updates the whole year. ^^; )
05/15 OK. Im back on schedule it seems. Forgive me, though, if this months entry seems a little short. I had to make a quick trip back to America,
so my trip to Hiroshima was
cancelled, and now Im pressed for material. Anyway, I do have some stuff on Miyazaki
prefecture and a local dance festival.
Enjoy!
04/01 Sorry about the wait,
folks. On account of the fact that
not much happens during the winter as far as we JETs are concerned, it has
taken me four whole months to accumulate enough material for an
update. Sorry bout that. But anyway, Ive updated the Journal and
the Archives, of course, so check them out!
Oh, and Ive decided to scrap the idea of translating this page into
Japanese for the time being. EIt just seems too tedious at the moment. EMaybe when Im less下手。
12/02 About time, eh? Hehe. EWell, Ive got a few stories to
tell, so check out the new (and improved?) Journal. Also, upon the request of my sister, Ive
re-uploaded some of the pictures associated with the archived posts. You can view them via links on the
Journal Archives.
In other news, Ill
be coming back to the States for X-Mas, which means that my next update
will probably be geared towards the people of Kawaura, and therefore in
Japanese Eif I can swing it. There
might be an English section, too.
Who knows.
Anyway, If you have
any last-minute requests for presents (and I know you), please e-mail me. Oh.
And sign my guestbook!!!!
10/25 Well, its that time
again. Sorry its a little late, but
I had more material to work with this month since I went to Nagasaki a couple of weekends
back. So, you can follow the link to
view the account of my trip, or you can pay a visit to my updated
journal! ^_^ Either way, I must admit that
there have been some problems with a few of the pictures on the pages; for
some reason, they arent displaying correctly, if at all. Click the following links to see these
three pictures in their proper form:
For the
Journal: Road to Reihoku
For the Nagasaki
page: Martyrdom of the saints and the A-Bomb statue
9/16 About time, eh? Well, Ive been busy with school, so cut
me some slack. J Anyway, the journal is finally updated,
and Ive archived the old entry.
Also, Ive changed my e-mail address to tatsutahime6@yahoo.com,
so please update your address books!
Speaking of e-mails, this is the last time Im going to send an
update notice to people who are not on my update list. Only one person requested to be added to
the list, and if no one else asks to be added, shell be the only person
getting notified. At any rate, Ive
been having some trouble with my old e-mail account. If you want to be on the list, e-mail me now with addEin the subject line, whether or
not you tried the first time.
8/21 Well, Ive pretty much
settled into my new apartment, and Im getting ready for the oncoming
school year. Now that Ive actually
found a minute to update the site, Ive done so. The journal is updated, and Ive
lightened up the background on all the pages to make the text easier to
read. Also, Im going to put
together a mailing list to let people know when I update. If youd like to join, mail me a blank
e-mail with addEin the subject line.
7/30 Ive given the site a
whole new look. Like it?
