Here's the first layer of my Interlaced bookmark. I also tatted a small sample with two colors so you can see how the split rings alternate with regular rings. You will need 2 shuttles, continuous wound.
SR = Split Rings SH1 = Shuttle 1
RW = Reverse Work R = Ring (not split ring)
I used size 20 thread, and the finished bookmark is 7.5 x 1.25" or 19 x 4 cm.
SR: 8 p 4/8 p 4.
SH1: R 4 j(prev ring) 8 p 8 p 4. RW.
SH2: R 4 j(prev ring) 8 p 8 p 4. RW.
SR: 4 j (adjacent ring) 8 / 4 j (adjacent ring) 8
Repeat from the beginning, I made 7 repeats.
