The Predatory Visitor
Part 1
He stalked through the night. He was in a new town looking for new victims. A lone figure that
roamed the night, bringing fear and death to those he encountered. His reputation preceded him.
His deeds were whispered about. In the early days it was around the fire of a fireplace. Or
one single candle lit to keep the darkness away. Now it was in front of the glow of a TV or
flashlights at slumber parties.
Some said it was all just tales made up to frighten the gullible. That nothing that evil could
exist. What little did they know.
Hearing the soft voices of lovers nearby he paused. Giving an evil smirk he faded into the
shadows. Silently he crept forward until the doomed pair came into view.
Young and fairly innocent. Two teenagers out for fun. They were supposed to be home, but unfortunately
for them they weren't.
Unseen and unheard he stepped up behind them. He grabbed the boy first and snapped his neck.
Tossing the body aside he went after the girl who was trying to run away. In a few swift steps
he caught her.
Looking around he dragged her behind some nearby bushes. The frightened girl looked up at him
with pleading eyes. With a feral look he ripped the dress she was wearing down the front. She
screamed as he shoved into her depths.
Despite having a boyfriend she was still a virgin. The pain ripped all through her body as
he thrust into her. Tears ran down her cheeks. She opened her mouth in a silent scream when
his visage came into view.
Red glowing eyes rimmed with amber looked down on her. Long, sharp fangs had replaced the evil
smirk. With a slight laugh he bent his dark head and tore into the flesh of her neck. Sweet,
warm blood flowed into his mouth. He thrust one last time and spilled his cold seed into her
dying body. He drained the last of her blood. He felt her heart stop it's wild beating.
Quickly he stood. He adjusted his clothing and silently walked off into the dark night.
Part 2.
It was all over the headlines. Juliet Chase the eldest daughter of Peter and Nancy Chase was
found murdered in Weatherly Park. Nearby the body of Tony Harris Jr., the eldest son of Anthony
and Jessica Harris. The small town of Sunnydale was in shock.
Willow sat with her best friend in the whole world, Xander Harris. She didn't know what to
do or say to him. Tony was three years older than them. He was a senior in high school and
captain of the football team.
They both looked up when Cordelia Chase walked up to them and sat down.
"I had to get away from the house. Mom is in hysterics and Dad well he has been drinking."
Xander nodded, "Both of my folks are drinking."
Cordelia sighed, "Julie was raped and all her blood had been drained from her body yet not
one drop was found nearby."
Willow frowned, "That's not in the papers."
Cordelia shook her head, "And it won't be. I over heard the cops telling Dad. He immediately
called the paper and made sure that didn't get told."
Xander sighed, "Tony's neck was snapped. But as far as I know he still had his blood."
Jessie walked up to them, "Hey guys, man sorry about Tony and Julie."
Xander shrugged, "Thanks."
Cordelia sighed, "I guess now that the favorite daughter and son are gone the focus is going
to be on us."
Xander snorted, "What I now get less beatings?"
Willow shook her head, "Xander you shouldn't say things like that."
Xander stood up, "I wouldn't if anyone else was around but the three of you. All of you know
how my Father feels about me. I'm not athletic like Tony, not as smart and not as handsome."
Cordelia sighed, "Actually I have always thought you were better looking than Tony. He had
this slight rough mean look to him."
Willow nodded, "Have to agree with her on that."
Xander gave a lopsided half smile, "Girls you flatter me. I better be getting home. Someone
sober probably needs to be there. I know Uncle Rory is flying in."
Willow stood up, "Want me to come with you?"
Xander shook his head, "Nah I'll be fine."
Jessie sighed, "I'll walk you home."
Willow and Cordelia watched as Xander and Jessie walked away.
Cordelia stood up, "You can come home with me."
Willow smiled, "Sure."
Part 3.
For the next few weeks Sunnydale lived in fear. Another girl was found dead. A man and woman
were found near their car. They had just arrived home from a night out on the town. A night
security guard at the high school and three more victims after that.
Now people stayed in after dark. A curfew was established. Even the cops stayed indoors. No
one had a clue as to who or what was killing these people.
The Mayor was furious he wanted answers and he wanted them now. But none were forth coming.
Another month of fear gripped the town. Several more victims, mostly travelers who had not
heard about the events in Sunnydale.
The killings stopped just as suddenly as they had begun. Slowly the town got back to normal.
A new girl arrived in town with her Mother and younger sister. She was a pretty, young blonde.
She'd heard about the killings and was frightened about the move to Sunnydale. Her Mother just
shook her head at her fears.
The first day of school for her didn't start out very good. She got lost and missed her first
class. Thankfully she ran into a red haired girl who was more than willing to help.
"Hi umm I'm new and very lost."
Willow smiled, "Willow Rosenberg and not a problem."
"Cool oh I am Buffy Summers."
Willow grinned, "So where do you need to go?"
Buffy looked down at the paper she had been studying, "Math right now I missed English."
Willow nodded, "Oh I have math so come on."
After that the day got better for Buffy Summers. She met Xander, Jessie and Cordelia.
Little did they know that the predator was still in town. He was laying low for now. He'd move
into a new town and have his fill of victims then find a nice quiet place to lay low until
the hunger for victims came to him again.
Part 4
The lone figure was tired. He'd been tracking vampires for many years. This particular one
all his life. He looked around the small town of Sunnydale. He could sense the vampire he was
seeking. He could always sense him.
Looking around he found a small studio apartment for rent in the downtown area. The kind of
place that didn't ask any questions. Opening the door he tossed his bags on the small couch
that sat in one corner.
He spied a bed in the alcove tucked away under a low arch. On the other side of the room was
the small kitchenette. It was surprisingly very clean. Something that was rare.
Opening his bags he took out a bag of herbs, a book and a candle. He quietly chanted as he
burned some of the herbs and lit the candle. When done he smiled almost. It was routine he'd
been taught by his mother. It was the spell to keep vampires from entering without an invite.
After putting away his things he went in search of something to eat. A small diner was around
the corner. Must be good if the locals ate there. The place was busy. Looking around he noticed
that many were teens. They were chowing down on huge cheeseburgers and fries.
Finding a booth in the back he sat down and sighed. The waitress walked up with a smile.
"What can I get you?"
"Bring me a cheeseburger, fries and a large iced tea."
"Okay won't be long."
He glanced up a pretty blonde paused near his booth. He frowned as she smiled at him.
"Oh you got our booth. No problem we'll sit in this one."
"Sorry it was the only one available when I came in."
"Yeah this place does get busy right after school lets out. Not much choice around here but
the food is very good."
He watched as she sat down and placed her books next to her. She was pretty, blonde with hazel
eyes. If she was just a little older he probably would flirt with her.
As he slowly ate his food he watched as a good looking brunet, a red head and two dark haired
boys joined the blonde. He heard them call her Buffy. He almost chuckled, the name fit her.
Part 5
He awoke as the sun set. He sensed the hunter. He had been found. Standing up he began to pace
the small space of his lair. He was not ready to leave this town.
Sighing he wondered if this was it. The time when was going to be defeated. He had been on
the prowl for over two centuries. Maybe the end was for him had come.
He put on his long dark coat and slipped out into the night. He raised his head towards the
stars and took a deep breath. He was smelling the scents around him. Looking for his next victim.
Slowly he made his way to a place called the Bronze. The ideal place to feed. So full of young,
innocent lives. All they wanted was to have fun. They had no cares. Tonight he would take some
of that innocence and shatter it.
He stepped into the building and merged with the shadows. He watched as they danced to the
beat of music. He watched as they laughed and talked amongst themselves.
Looking around the crowded room he spotted a pretty, tiny blonde girl. She was sitting with
a red head and a brunet. Any one of those three would be perfect. He watched as two young boys
walked up and sat down. He could smell and sense the innocence of all five.
A girl brushed up against him on her way to the back rooms. Smirking he followed her. He watched
as she slipped into the woman's restroom. He could tell she was the only one in there.
He quietly entered the room. He waited for her to come out of the stall. She stepped out of
the stall. He wrapped his arm around her and clamped his hand over her mouth. She tried to
twist away, but he was too strong.
He bent his head down and sank his fangs into her tender neck. He drained all of her life's
blood. He dropped the body to the floor. Silently he left the room. He blended into the shadows
and left the building.
Part 5
The Bronze was closed and would be until further notice. The murder of that girl woke the town
up to the fact that death was still lurking in the shadows.
The tracker read the account of the young girl's death. He knew he had to end to this monster's
reign. All those before him had tried and failed. But unlike them he was alone. He had no other
thoughts to distract him. His only focus was on one thing and that was to rid the world of Angelus.
He stood up to leave the diner. He turned and dropped a dollar on the table for a tip. As he
turned back he bumped into that blonde again. She stumbled and dropped her books.
"Sorry."
"Don't worry about it. I was the one who bumped into you."
They both bent down to retrieve her books. They knocked heads. They laughed.
"Here let me get these for you."
"Thank you, my name is Buffy."
"Here you go Buffy and my name is Angel."
"Angel, what an interesting name. Are you one?"
Angel shook his head, "Not that I know of. It's a shortened version of an old family name."
Buffy smiled, "Well, I am just Buffy some think my name is Elizabeth but it isn't."
Angel grinned, "I like it. You look like a Buffy."
Buffy stared up at him, "Strangely enough you look like an Angel."
Angel laughed, "Oh now that is something I have never been told."
Buffy smiled, "There is always a first time for everything as my Grandmother would say."
"Hey Buffy sorry I'm late....oh sorry you're talking to someone."
Buffy jumped a little, "Willow hey, um this is Angel."
Willow looked him over, "Hi..Angel."
"Pleased to meet you Willow."
Willow smiled, "Same here."
Angel sighed, "I wish I could stay and talk but I have places to be."
Buffy and Willow both smiled, "That's okay." Buffy said.
Angel smiled, "Later girls."
"Bye Angel."
They watched as Angel paid his bill and left the diner. They claimed the booth he'd been sitting
in.
Willow sighed, "Now that was one handsome guy."
Buffy nodded, "I have to agree."
They picked up the menus and looked through them.
Part 6
Buffy grumbled under her breath for the hundredth time. It was getting dark and her Mother
had not shown up yet to pick her up. Sighing Buffy took off for home.
About two blocks from her house she knew she was being followed. Every instinct told her to
run. Buffy stopped though and glanced around. A shadow stepped out from behind the trees and
made a grab for her. She screamed and stumbled backwards. Falling into the flower bed of Mrs.
Grant she just knew she was about to die.
As the figure loomed over her and chuckled Buffy sent out a silent prayer. She wasn't going
to give her attacker the satisfaction of screaming or begging for mercy.
She stared up at him, "Well you gonna just chuckle or am I am about to die some horrible death?"
Her calm sarcastic voice startled him, "A little one with spunk I like that. But alas death
is your fate."
He shifted a little and the street lamp hit his face. Buffy gasped, "Angel?"
Her attacker growled, "You know Angel?"
Buffy gulped, "Just met him this morning...so you're not him?"
"No, he isn't me."
Buffy watched as her attacker swung around. The two figures circled each other slowly. She
was amazed at how much alike they looked. The one she knew as Angel was a little heavier but
not much. The other one was pale and almost ghostly looking. His mouth was crueler looking.
Angel spat out, "Leave the girl alone."
"But I'm hungry and she smells so tasty."
Angel brought his arm he was holding a long wooden stake, "Fine then I'll make you hunger go
away forever."
"Now that is not going to happen."
Angel lunged forward, thrusting the stake towards his opponent. Buffy watched as her attacker
managed to jump out of the way just in time. He did a leap and was on the other side of Angel.
"Gotta go, maybe later." With that he disappeared into the night.
Angel sighed and put the stake away. He turned to Buffy and held out his hand.
"Let me help you up?"
Buffy took his hand, "Thanks."
Angel looked her over, "What are you doing out after dark?"
Buffy shrugged, "Mom never showed up so I just started for home."
Angel sighed, "Let me walk you the rest of the way?"
Buffy smiled, "I'd like that. So you gonna explain what that was all about?"
Angel nodded, "Once I get you home safe and sound."
Buffy sighed, "Okay it's just around the corner."
They walked in silence after that. Buffy gave Angel quick glances every now and then.

Part 7
Buffy opened the front door, "Mom you home?"
Joyce came from the kitchen, "Oh Buffy you're home at last."
Buffy frowned, "Mom you were supposed to pick me up."
Joyce shook her head, "Oh Buffy I'm so sorry I totally forgot."
Angel stepped up, "If weren't for me you'd be planning a funeral. I managed to save her from
the creature that's been murdering people around here."
Joyce gasped, "But I thought that was over with."
Buffy sighed, "Mom the other night at the Bronze."
Joyce shrugged, "Guess it slipped my mind. Well, you're home safe and sound and I want to thank
you...Umm I didn't catch your name."
Buffy shook her head, "Yeah Mom I am home safe and sound. This is Angel and only because of
him am I here."
Angel stared at Joyce, "You need to be careful at all times while this fiend is still around.
He doesn't care about age, sex or race just as long as it's warm and human. Being oblivious
to his deeds will only get you or your family killed."
Joyce smiled slightly, "I'll keep that in mind. Buffy there is a chicken in the kitchen if
you're hungry I am going up to bed. Oh and Dawn is at her friend's across the street. Night."
Buffy watched as her Mother hurried up the stairs. When she heard her the bedroom door shut
she turned to Angel.
"Care to join me in the kitchen?"
Angel nodded, "Sure. Is your Mother always that dense?"
Buffy sighed, "Sort of. Business with her art gallery she is right there. Dawn is next and
I am low man on the totem pole."
Angel shook his head, "Sorry to hear that."
Buffy smiled, "I got use to it a long time ago. So let's eat and talk. She won't be down the
rest of the night. I could have an orgy down here and she wouldn't notice."
Angel gave a low chuckle, "I don't plan on having an orgy."
Buffy found the chicken along with some mashed potatoes, gravy and a salad in the kitchen.
Angel helped her with the food. They took their plates into the dining room and sat down at
the table.
Part 8
Buffy watched as Angel took a few bites of food before questioning him.
"So what's the story behind this creature? I assume that it is a vampire."
Angel swallowed, "It is and one of the most feared vampires around. Many vampires have died
or have adapted to the modern world and no longer hunt and kill they buy their blood from various
places. But not him."
Buffy nodded, "I sort of gathered that."
Angel sat back, "His name is Angelus. My full name is Liam Angelus Mannion."
Buffy folded her napkin as spoke, "So you are related to him in some way?"
Angel nodded, "I am descended from him. He was a drunken, lazy man in his mid twenties. He
married the daughter of a business associate of his Father. About four months after the marriage
he was found dead in an alley way the next night he arose. He didn't kill the girl that was
his wife though. She was the only one who survived his reign of terror in Galway. Six months
after he became a vampire a son was born to him and his wife. She took the baby and fled Ireland.
Ever since in each generation we have hunted Angelus and tried to end his existence so far
we have all failed."
Buffy stared at Angel, "How long has he been a vampire?"
Angel shrugged, "Close to two hundred and fifty years. He somehow manages to be one step ahead
of us or else he has stood his ground and ended up the victor. I am the very last of his line
unless I marry and have children."
Buffy shook her head, "That's amazing. So do you think he'll go now knowing you're here?"
Angel shook his head, "No I think he wants to fight. I want to fight and end this once and for all."
Buffy reached over and took his hand, "But you might die and there won't be anyone left to
go after him."
Angel let out a sigh, "I know."
He glanced at Buffy and gave a slight smile. She tried to smile back. She was really liking
this man and didn't want anything to happen to him.
Part 9
Angel lay on his bed thinking of Buffy. He should stay away from her, she was way too young
for him. He didn't even have a guaranteed future so what did he have to offer her?
Sighing he got up and went to the window. The sun would be down soon. Angel pulled on his coat.
He made sure he had plenty of stakes. Especially the long one with crosses carved into the
wood. It had been carried for several generations. Hand carved solid oak and dipped in holy water.
Stepping out into the cooling early evening air Angel took a deep breath. Looking around he
headed for the diner. He wasn't surprised to see Buffy waiting for him in a back booth.
Buffy looked up at him and smiled when he sat down across from her, "Hey Angel."
Angel smiled, "Buffy hi."
Buffy fiddled with the fork in front of her, "So umm how was your day?"
Angel shrugged, "I slept some. Did some thinking."
Buffy nodded, "About me I bet. Let's see I'm too young, too innocent and you are an older man
with not much to offer. So you don't think you should be seeing me in any way even as a friend.
Am I right?"
Angel chuckled softly, "That's about it."
Buffy shook her head, "Won't work. I like you and I want to get to know you better, spend some
time with you."
Angel sighed, "Then consider this a warning I could either die or just leave. If he leaves
I will follow him. If he sees you with me he might come after you and your family and friends.
Still want to get to know me?"
Buffy looked into his eyes, "Yes very much so."
Angel nodded, "I thought so. Here comes your friends want me to leave?"
Buffy shook her head, "No stay I want you to meet two of them especially."
Angel frowned, "Oh and why?"
Buffy shrugged, "I'll explain when the sit down. Come and sit next to me."
Angel quickly went and sat down next to Buffy. Her friends walked up just as he sat back down.
Buffy looked up at her friends, "Guys this is Angel please sit down."
Cordelia scooted into the booth. Xander sat next to her with Willow on the outside edge. Jessie
grabbed a chair and pulled over to the booth and sat down. They were all looking Angel over.
They had seen him around of late and wondered what his story was.
Part 10
Buffy pointed to each friend, "Angel that is Cordelia Chase next to her is Xander Harris next
is Willow Rosenberg and this is Jessie.
Angel sighed he knew why Buffy wanted him to meet her friends. The brunette was a sister to
the first female victim and the boy next to her was related to the other victim.
They all nodded and said quiet helloes. Buffy sighed as she looked her friends over.
"Look guys umm he knows all about the killer."
Willow stared at Angel, "He does how?"
Angel glanced at the small group, "I have been after him all my life as has many before me.
You see he isn't human he's a vampire."
Xander snorted, "Right and what makes you think I'll believe that story?"
Buffy sighed, "I was attacked by this vampire and got a good look at him. Angel does not lie.
I looked up stuff about them."
Cordelia nodded, "I believe him. My sister's blood was drained not a drop left and yet there
wasn't any blood on her or near her well except where he raped her."
Willow sighed, "I got a look at some of the coroner reports and all the female victims had
been raped with their blood drained. Oh they all had twin puncture marks on their necks."
Angel shook his head, "He likes to hear the women beg for mercy and to scream as he takes them.
Virgins are what he prefers."
Xander shrugged, "I still find it hard to believe. So why have you been looking for him?"
Angel told them the story he'd told Buffy about Angelus' beginnings and his connection to him.
Cordelia stared at Angel, "Wow that is some story and how sad. Can I ask why didn't he kill
his wife?"
Angel frowned, "Male pride she was going to have his child. He wanted the child I think he
had plans to raise the child and when he reached a certain age to turn him. But Fionna managed
to escape and flee with the baby."
Willow nodded, "Makes sense."
The waitress walked up and took everyone's orders. After she left they all sat quietly thinking
about what had been discussed.

Part 11
Angelus followed the tiny blonde and her friends. He was looking for a weak spot. Sensing Angel
nearby he slipped into the shadows. He watched as Angel silently followed the girl.
Stepping out of the shadows Angelus decided to go hunting elsewhere.
"Thought I told you to stay away from her and her friends and family?"
Angelus swung around, "So you knew I was there?"
Angel nodded, "I can feel you in my blood."
Angelus smirked, "Considering it's my blood that flows through your veins not much of a surprise."
Angel smiled almost, "That's all we share is DNA."
Angelus gave a low throaty laugh, "Not really there is much more and I think that soon you
shall find that out. Now if you'll excuse me I am in need of nourishment."
Angel watched as Angelus disappeared quickly into the moonless night. He wondered what he'd
meant about sharing more than blood.
"Was that Angelus?"
Angel turned around, "Buffy where are your friends?"
Buffy shrugged, "Xander and Jessie are making sure Willow and Cordelia get home safe and sound."
Angel smiled, "Then let me make sure you make it home."
Buffy smiled, "I'd like that very much."
Angel walked Buffy to her front door. She opened it and turned to Angel.
"Please come on in Mom's away on a business trip and Dawn is at a friends."
Angel grinned, "Are you sure?"
Buffy nodded, "Yes very now come on in."
Angel shut the door behind them. Buffy took his coat and led him the living room.
Buffy sat down on the couch, "Sit and let's talk."
Angel sat next to Buffy, "So what is it you want to talk about?"
Buffy leaned closer, "Oh I don't know."
Angel was very much aware of how close Buffy was to him. He took a deep breath.
"Buffy umm maybe I should leave."
Buffy sighed, "Why?"
Angel gulped a little, "You're sixteen I'm twenty six."
Buffy smiled, "I know and it doesn't matter."
Angel stared at Buffy. She licked her lips. Angel found himself leaning forward and capturing
her mouth with his. Buffy sighed and returned the kiss. It was sweet and passionate all she
expected it to be.
Angel pulled back, "Buffy this shouldn't be happening."
Buffy shook her head, "You're wrong I think that it is meant to be."
Angel pulled Buffy unto his lap. They kissed deeply letting all their feelings emerge. Buffy
had never been kissed so deeply with so much passion. It had been too long since Angel had
held a woman in his arms. Holding and kissing Buffy made him realize how much he needed her.

Part 12
Angelus followed Buffy and her friends for the next two weeks. He watched as Angel and Buffy
met and had their little make out sessions. He could tell that so far Angel and Buffy hadn't
had sex.
Finally the night came when he had the opportunity to strike. The boy Jessie was fighting with
his folks again. He left the house and headed for Xander's. Angelus wasn't surprised it was
this boy. He had no sense of the danger that they were all in.
Angelus had to act fast. The two boys only lived a few houses apart. The neighbors just to
the right of Xander were gone and the area around the house was dark. Angelus grabbed Jessie
as he hurried past the empty house.
He pulled the boy into the backyard and under the patio roof. Angelus tortured the boy for
a little bit before drinking from him. Angelus left the dying boy propped up in a chair facing
Xander's bedroom window. With a chuckle Angelus slipped into the night.
The next morning Xander woke up, getting out of bed he went to his window. Stretching and yawning
he looked outside. He saw Jessie sitting in one of the Anderson's patio chairs. Xander opened
his window and called out.
"Hey dude what are you doing come on up."
Getting no answer Xander took a second look and gulped. He felt as if all the air was sucked
out of him. He backed away from the window. Turning he fled downstairs. His Mom was in the
kitchen getting ready to make coffee.
"Mom call the police."
Jessica Harris frowned, "And why would I do that?"
Xander sank to the floor sobbing, "Jessie next door, dead."
Jessica hurried to the back door and stepped outside. She could see Jessie she gasped and hurried
to the phone.
Part 13
Several hours later Xander sat in the only chair in Angel's place. Buffy sat on the bed with
Willow and Cordelia.
Angel standing near the window, "From now on no going out at night. Angelus is on the attack.
Once you get home stay there and don't invite anyone in who looks like me. A vampire can only
come in when invited."
Cordelia groaned, "Mom is having her yearly open invitation party at the house next week. It's
a charity thing. She decorates the house in some sort of theme and then puts an ad in the paper
inviting anyone who wishes to drop by and leave a nice donation to the charity of your choice.
She has a list on the table set up for collecting the donations and you choose which one."
Angel sat back, "Great Angelus can just walk right on in and then after that he can come in
with no problem. He's a charmer and will donate a large sum of money. He'll find your Mom and
have her eating out of his hands in no time."
Cordelia shook her head, "If he has money, charm and looks it'll take about five seconds."
Angel sighed, "We need to make plans for that night."
Buffy nodded, "Find a way to keep him from the party."
Angel smiled a little, "That won't be easy. He probably knows all about the party by now and
is making his own plans."
Willow frowned, "Cordelia I'm surprised your Mom is going ahead with the party considering
everything."
Cordelia sighed, "Dad tried to get her to not have it this year but she insisted. Said it helped
to do things and that it'd help get eveyones minds off all the bad things that have happened."
Angel nodded, "She wants to deny what happened or the way it did happen."
Xander shook his head, "Life just goes on. Hey here's a plan why not stake the bastard before
next week?"
Angel shrugged, "We could try that approach but we still need a plan."
Cordelia sighed, "Mom will need extra help that night Willow and Buffy could do that with me.
Angel you and Xander can maybe keep an eye on things outside. Mom will have security guards
and valet parking. Maybe you could do that?"
Angel nodded, "Good idea but I'd prefer it if Xander was inside."
Xander frowned, "Hey I can defend myself."
Angel grinned, "I believe you but this isn't some normal guy he is very powerful and has been
fighting for centuries."
Buffy nodded, "I agree with Angel. Xander I want you with us inside."
Xander sighed, "Fine."
Angel glanced outside, "The sun will down soon. Let's go grab something to eat then head home."
They all agreed to go across the street to eat.

Part 14
Buffy smoothed down the apron she was wearing. She glanced over at Willow and winked.
"Some outfits."
Willow giggled, "Yep."
Willow adjusted the scooped neck top of the short black waitress dress she wore. Cordelia came
in the room and looked her friends over.
"Sorry about the clothes but Mom insisted."
Buffy nodded, "And exactly what is the theme of the party tonight?"
Cordelia shrugged, "Not sure but I think she got the idea from Moulin Rouge or some other movie
she has been watching."
Buffy looked Cordelia over. She was wearing a tight red, silk dress with slits on either side
that went all the way up to her thighs. The top was so low that she looked like she was about
to pop out of it.
Buffy sighed, "You do look like a high priced call girl."
Cordelia laughed, "I feel like one almost."
Xander tapped on the door, "Are you ladies decent?"
All three laughed, "We are border line decent but come on in." Willow told him.
Xander stepped into the room. He stared at the three of them.
"Wow you look so ummm good."
Willow pointed and laughed, "What's with the hair?"
Xander sighed, "Mrs. Chase did this. Yep used gel and parted it in the center and then slicked
it down. As for the fake mustache she used fake eyelashes."
Cordelia nodded, "You are wearing one of my Dad's old tuxes. You don't look too bad...except
for the hair."
Mrs. Chase breezed into the room, "Oh my don't all of you look lovely. Well, come now the party
is about to begin."
They all followed her from the bedroom they were using as a dressing room. Once downstairs
they found the place filling up fast.
Buffy was handed a tray filled with stuffed mushrooms. She made her way through the crowd letting
people grab what they wanted. She went over to one of the French windows that was open. Angel
stood just outside.
"Anything yet?"
Angel turned, "Buffy ah oh no not yet."
Buffy sighed, "Same here for me."
Angel took one of the stuffed mushrooms, "Like your outfit maybe you could keep it."
Buffy stared at him then grinned, "Yeah right. Get back to guarding the place I need to get
another tray."
Angel watched as Buffy hurried away. Turning he sighed as he looked out into the darkness.
Knowing Angelus he'd show up fashionably late.

Part 15
Angelus could sense Angel as he neared the Chase house. Grinning he wasn't surprised. Slipping
through the shadows Angelus found Angel standing near some French windows.
"So guarding the manor."
Angel turned with a slight smile, "Angelus I knew you couldn't stay away."
Angelus chuckled, "Is your little girlfriend inside?"
Angel frowned, "She is and so are her friends. Just go away and don't cause any trouble."
Angelus shook his head, "Sorry but you see I have this nice tidy sum of money to give to charity
and I understand this is a good place to do so."
Before Angel could stop him Angelus walked through the open French windows. Angel followed
him inside.
Mrs. Chase spotted the two of them and came forward, "Oh my twins and such handsome ones at
that. I just met you tonight Angel you didn't say anything about your brother stopping by."
Buffy came up behind Mrs. Chase, "We are out of brie what do you want us to do?"
Mrs. Chase turned, "Oh Buffy are you sure I could have sworn I bought enough."
Buffy grinned, "Maybe I'm not looking in the right place."
Mrs. Chase smiled, "Come let me have a look."
Angelus chuckled, "Must say your girl is resourceful but I am still inside."
Angel nodded, "Make your donation then leave."
Xander stopped and stared. Seeing the two of them together was startling. Angel and this vampire
were almost identical. To him the only difference really was Angel wasn't so cruel looking or pale.
"Wow they do look alike." Cordelia whispered to Xander as she walked up to him.
Xander jumped slightly, "I know it's eerie."
Cordelia shook her head, "If Mom or Dad knew the killer of Juliet was standing here in their
house they would well I'm not sure but it wouldn't be pretty."
Xander nodded, "I know what you mean."
They watched as Angel led Angelus into the hallway. Angelus smiled at the young woman who was
taking the donations. She stared at the two men in front of her.
Angelus held out an envelope, "A little something for let's see oh I think one of the children's
charities. You pick which one."
The woman smiled and almost giggled, "Thank you so much."
Angel practically pulled Angelus away, "Now go you got in and made your donation. I won't tolerate
you being here any longer."
Angelus chuckled, "Fine, Angel but you can't stop me."
Angel sighed in relief as he watched Angelus leave the house.
Part 16
A few days later the body of the young girl who took donations at the party was found. She
had been raped and all her blood drained. The body was dumped behind the police department.
Angel paced his room. He should have put a stop by now to this monster. What was wrong with
him? Was he getting soft? A knock on his door bought Angel out of his dark thoughts.
Opening the door he found Buffy, "Buffy what's wrong?"
Buffy stepped inside, "Nothing really just worried about you is all."
Angel sighed as he shut the door, "Oh and why?"
Buffy went over to him and put her arms around his waist, "Another victim and I have a feeling
your'e blaming yourself because you haven't destroyed Angelus yet. Well, it's not your fault."
Angel bent his head, his forehead rested against the top of Buffy's head, "I can't help but
feel guilty for her death. How many more must die?"
Buffy reached up and gently touched his cheek, "Don't worry you'll defeat him. For some reason
I can sense it."
Angel sighed, "I hope your'e right. I am growing so weary of not having a home of constantly
moving around of being alone."
Buffy took his chin in her hand and pulled his head down so she could kiss him, "You are no
longer alone I am here."
Angel responded by kissing her back. She wrapped her arms around his neck. He pulled her tight
against him. She moaned softly as the kiss become even more intense.
Part 17
Angel pulled back and stared down at Buffy. She gazed up at him with lust filled eyes.
"Buffy I want you so much it hurts."
Buffy nodded, "I feel the same way."
Angel took a deep breath, "You just turned seventeen. You are so young and innocent."
Buffy touched his chest gently and looked into his eyes, "Maybe but I know what I want and
that's for you to make love to me."
Angel gave a slight smile, "Are you sure?"
Buffy nodded, "Yes."
Angel took her hand and led her over to the bed tucked away in the alcove. Slowly they began
to undress each other. They stood there gazing at each other. Buffy blushed as Angel's eyes
roamed along her nude body. He smiled as he took her into his arms.
Angel gently helped Buffy lay down on the bed. He lay next to her, propped up on one elbow.
He leaned over and began to rain kisses along her body. He cupped one breast with his hand
and began to run his thumb along the nipple slightly as he kissed and sucked on the other nipple.
Buffy gasped with the sensations that shot through her body at his touch.
Angel moved from breast to the other. Taking delight in each hard little nipple. Taking pleasure
in hearing Buffy's gasps. He worked his way down her slim, firm body. Gently kissing and licking
her body. He parted her legs as he reached her nest of curls. He glanced up at her before slowly
lowering his head between her thighs.
Buffy gave out a low moan as he flicked his tongue over her clit. Never had she ever such pleasure.
Angel gently sucked her clit using his tongue to tease it. He slipped one finger into her tight
passage. Buffy thrust her hips at his touch.
Angel had to have more he needed to be buried deep inside of her. He made his way back up her
body. He kissed her deeply. Their tongues dueling. Angel positioned himself between her legs.
He placed his hard cock at her entrance.
Gazing into her eyes he whispered, "Do you want this?"
Buffy gasped, "Yes. Oh please yes. Angel I love you."
Angel took a deep breath, "I love you too."
He made one quick thrust breaking through her barrier. Buffy cried out from pain as he tore
into her. Angel stilled letting Buffy become use to having him inside her. She began to move
her hips slightly. Angel began to gently thrust into her.
The pain was quickly gone with pleasure taking it's place. With Angel's help Buffy found the
rhythm. She met him thrust for thrust. The passion building between them. She felt as if she
was on fire.
Angel began to pump even harder into her as he was nearing his climax. He reached down and
found her clit. He massaged it hard in time with each of his hard thrusts. Buffy felt her climax
as it washed through her in crashing waves of pure pleasure.
Hearing Buffy cry out as she came took Angel over into his own climax. He pounded into her
a few more times spilling his seed deep in her womb.
Panting Angel collapsed. They both lay there panting. With effort Angel rolled away from Buffy.
He took her into his arms and held her close. Buffy snuggled up against Angel. She shook all over.
Part 18
Angelus grinned as he sat just outside of Buffy's bedroom window. He could smell Angel all
over her. She was no longer an innocent virgin. It was time for him to bring this little dance
to an end.
Angelus jumped down off the roof and took off towards his lair. He had things to do. Soon he
was going to face Angel for the final show down.
Angel lay on his bed staring up at the ceiling. He could smell Buffy's scent on his sheets.
It teased his senses to no end. He'd made love to her. He hadn't planned on what happened,
but had no regrets.
Buffy sighed and turned over. A noise woke her up. Looking around she didn't see anything out
of the ordinary. Probably one of the trees or the neighbor's cat. She smiled as she remembered
how it felt being with Angel. It was everything she'd imagined and then some. Even the brief
pain had been welcomed for it led to pleasure like nothing she'd ever experienced.
Slowly Buffy drifted back to sleep a slight smile on her pretty face. Across town Angel fell
asleep finally.
Elsewhere Angelus smiled as he looked over his choice of weapons. A fine sword and a short
but deadly dagger. Sitting down at the small table that sat in a small corner of his lair he
opened a drawer and took out paper and pen. With care Angelus wrote two quick notes. Looking
them over Angelus was pleased.
Angelus place each note in an envelope. He closed then sealed them with a small drip of wax.
Angelus left his lair he wanted to deliver his notes, have a bite before returning home to rest.
Part 19
Angel found the note slipped under his door the next morning. Frowning he opened it. He sat
down as he read what it had to say.
"Tonight meet me where the Angel watches over the child. Where Cupid points his arrow to the
sky. Where the rich lay in a final rest. Our time has come.
Angelus"
Angel closed his eyes. Tonight he had a date with death was it his or was it Angelus'?
Buffy found a note on her window sill. Frowning she opened it.
"Tonight your lover shall face the truth. Come if you dare to where the women would wait and
watch for their lovers return. The ocean shall welcome you with open arms if he comes not for you.
Angelus"
Buffy frowned as she read the note. She didn't know what the note meant. She'd ask Willow if
she knew. But first she needed to talk to Angel.
Buffy picked up the phone and dialed Angel's cell phone. She let it ring what seemed like for
ever with no answer. Sighing she hung up the phone.
Joyce opened Buffy's bedroom door, "Honey hurry you're going to be late for school."
Buffy nodded, "Okay almost ready."
Buffy quickly dressed and went downstairs. She needed to see Willow before classes started.
She'd try and get hold of Angel as soon as she got to school.
Part 20
Buffy was worried she hadn't been able to get hold of Angel all day. School
was finally out so she headed for his place. Willow and Xander went with her.
Buffy was getting very worried his apartment was locked. The guy at the desk said he'd seen Angel leave early that morning and no he didn't check out.
Buffy went home then hoping to find a note from him. Buffy sat on her bed a
nd sighed. Willow sat next to her with Xander on the floor.
Buffy looked at her note from Angelus again, "So Willow you think he's referring to those cliffs just south of town where the wives and lovers of sailors would stand and watch the ships coming in?"
Willow nodded, "That's the only place that fits. The women would watch when
they figured their lovers ships were due. Some stories say that when word
came that a ship was lost with no survivors women would jump to their deaths on the rocks below."
Buffy sighed, "Kind of romantic but also scary."
Xander looked at Buffy, "I hope you are not thinking of going there?"
Buffy fiddled with the note, "I have to. If Angel shows up and I'm not there he might do something stupid."
Xander shook his head, "What if it's Angelus pretending to be Angel?"
Buffy gave a soft smile, "I'll know the difference."
Willow sighed, "Then we go with you."
Xander stared at Willow, "We are?"
Willow gave him a look, "You bet that way if she needs us we can be there."
Buffy shook her head, "You could get hurt or worse."
Willow shrugged, "Safety in numbers we'll get Cordelia to drive us."
Buffy sighed, "If you insist. So we should get prepared for anything."
Xander stood up, "Wooden stakes there are some left over fencing at my place they are sharp and pointy. Also holy water and garlic and oh crosses."
Buffy laughed, "Either you've watched way too many vampire movies or you've
been reading up on them."
Xander shrugged, "Both actually."
Buffy smiled, "Go get your stakes. I have a couple of crosses and find Cordelia."
Willow stood up, "We'll be back around six the sun sets after seven that will give us plenty of time to get to the cliffs."
Buffy watched as her friends left her room. She stood up and quickly change
d into a pair of black stretch jeans, a tank top over which she pulled a black sweater. Her black low heeled boots were next. Buffy pulled her hair up
in a pony tail.
Grabbing a cross necklace she slipped it on. Buffy left her room and went into her Mom's room and got another cross necklace this one a little bigger.
Next Buffy went down to the basement. She found the wooden picture frame pieces her Mom was storing there. She found several that would make good stakes.
Back upstairs Buffy pulled on a black jacket and hid the stakes in the pockets. She sighed and left the house. She knew Willow, Xander and Cordelia would follow her. Just maybe things would be over before they got there.
Part 21
Angel hunted through the cemeteries. He found what he was looking for in the sixth one. He looked the area over very carefully. It was at the back of
the cemetery in the older section. Quite a few sailors were buried there and their families. One huge tomb was low to the ground it had an Angel over
the door looking down at a small area where children were buried. Nearby was Cupid with an arrow pointed towards the sky.
It wasn't too far from the ocean. He could make out cliffs nearby. Angel gave the area one last look before leaving. He was going to need to find some
weapons.
It was nearing sunset Angelus stretched as he got out of bed. He smiled as
he looked around the room. His sword was laying across a chair waiting for
him to pick it up. Tonight was either going to be his greatest victory or end in his death.
Slipping on a pair of black, leather pants and red silk shirt Angelus almost wished he could see what he looked like. Laughing slightly he finished dressing. The sun was down now. He was going out to find a tasty bite before
going to the cemetery.
It didn't take him long to find a foolish young girl out alone. She was standing near the store that sold videos and other such things. She kept glancing into the store. It was obvious she was waiting for someone to come out.
Quickly Angelus clamped a hand over her mouth and pulled her into the near
by alley. She struggled against him. Angelus chuckled as he pulled her head
aside and lowered his own and bit down. He drank his fill then dropped the
body to the ground.
Angelus stayed in the shadows waiting. Soon a young boy came out of the store he was looking around. Angelus stepped out the alley slightly. The boy walked over to him.
"Have you seen a girl?"
Angelus smirked, "Yes she is right over here."
The boy stared up at the tall man he turned to run. Angelus grabbed him before he could even take a step. Angelus pulled him into the alley and drank
from the boy. The bag the boy was holding fell to the ground. Angelus gave
it a kick as he walked away.
Buffy was out of breath by the time she reached the top of the cliffs. The
view from there though was spectacular. The sun was setting and it gave the
ocean an eerie orange and reddish glow. Looking around she could make out
the wall of a cemetery not to far away. That made her shudder. She found some a large pile of rocks and sat down.
Angel walked through the cemetery towards the tomb he'd found earlier that
day. He was carrying a sword, several stakes and a bottle of holy water. At
the tomb he hopped on top and looked around. No one in sight. He looked over at the cliffs. He thought he could make out the figure of a woman. But he couldn't tell. Sighing he sat down to wait.
Angelus felt sated. He went back to his place to get his sword and dagger.
With an evil smirk he left his lair. He strode through the darkening night
towards the cemetery. He knew that Angel was already there waiting for him.

Part 22
Angel knew when Angelus entered the cemetery. His blood seemed to almost sing in anticipation of the fight to come.
Angel stood atop the tomb watching for Angelus. He smiled slightly when he came into view.
"Angelus I see you have arrived."
Angelus chuckled, "Yes and I am pleased to see that you received my note as did your little girl."
Angel frowned, "What do you mean?"
Angelus pointed to the cliffs, "Over there she sits and waits for you to come to her, that is if you win."
Angel glanced over at the cliffs, "So I did see someone. If you win what will you do go to her and gloat then take her?"
Angelus chuckled, "Oh no I will not claim her. She will live at least long enough to give birth to the babe that you planted in her the other night."
Angel felt as if he had been hit in the gut, "What do you mean?"
Angelus smirked, "You took her to your bed and she is now with child. It's the way things occur in our family."
Angel jumped down from the tomb, "If she is as you say with child then I must live to take care of her. She is young and will need me."
Angelus held up his sword, "Then fight we shall."
Angel held up his own sword, "I am ready."
The two seemed to almost dance around each other. They circled trying to get the upper hand. Angelus managed to lightly swipe Angel's chest, tearing the shirt and leaving a light red mark. Angel jumped back and recovered. He was the one to get the next hit. Coming under Angelus' forward thrust Angel managed to stab him in the arm. Angelus fell backwards before he sprang up to face Angel again.
Buffy could hear the sound of swords clashing. Turning toward the cemetery she could make out two figures sparring. She gasped when she realized it was Angel and Angelus.
Buffy went over to edge of the cliff and watched as the fought. She couldn't get to them from where she stood. She could only watch.
Angel and Angelus fought hard. Angel finally got the upper hand and held the sword to Angelus' neck, pinning him to the ground. He took out the wooden stake he always carried.
Angelus smirked, "Kill me you become me."
Angel frowned, "What do you mean?"
Angelus chuckled, "It's the curse. Each time I am killed the body is dust but the demon takes over the body of the staker. This body is not the original body of Liam Angelus Mannion."
Angel stepped back, "So there is a curse I had heard there was one but was never told what it was."
Angelus sprang to his feet, "Aye the curse you see the original Liam played with the heart of one woman too many. He broke the heart of one young woman who knew all about spells and curses. When he married Fionna, Brigid became enraged and cursed Liam to eternal damnation. That into every third generation a new Liam would be born and he shall destroy the vampire. Upon the destruction of the vampire the demon will take over the body of victor. That is why I have never been defeated for I cannot be truly destroyed."
Angel stepped back, "What would happen if I just walked away, let you continue on in your current body?"
Angelus laughed, "It has been done before. Maybe one day your grandson or great grandson will kill me and then I shall have his body."
Angel sighed, "And meanwhile you continue to bring death to those who encounter you."
Angelus chuckled, "Oh the irony of it all if you stake me you die and in a few months a child will be born. Buffy will have to hide from you so that you will not harm her or the child. Then one day you will encounter another Liam. But if you let me walk away you know others will die."
Angel looked over at the cliff where Buffy waited for him. He could make out her shape barely. He loved her so very much. Sighing he dropped his sword to the ground.
"You win Angelus this time."
Angelus chuckled low in his throat.
Part 23
"No, he doesn't win this time."
Angel and Angelus turned to voice that spoke. Cordelia and Xander both stood there.
Angelus growled, "What exactly do you mean little girl?"
Cordelia gave a low laugh, "I went searching and found out quite a bit about you and that curse. It seems you can be defeated."
Angelus chuckled, "Oh really care to elaborate?"
Cordelia smiled, "Angel cannot stake you without becoming you, but if someone else stakes you then your demon cannot take over Angel's body and if the one who stakes you is one you wronged your demon is condemned to hell for eternity to never return. You wronged me and Xander both. You killed my sister and his brother plus our friend Jessie."
Angelus took a few steps back, "You have to catch me first to kill me."
Angelus turned to flee. A light swoosh was heard. Angelus went down to his knees and looked down. An arrow protruded from his side.
"You missed my heart." He said as he staggered to his feet.
Cordelia chuckled, "Did it on purpose. See I am into archery and am quite good at it."
Angelus grabbed the arrow to pull it out. Another swoosh and Angelus gasped. He looked down and saw the arrow in his chest. He managed to take one last glance at Cordelia.
"Thank you." He gasped as he turned to dust.
Angel turned to the cliffs. He could see two figures standing there.
"It's Willow she went to tell Buffy what was going on."
Angel sighed, "Thanks how do I get over there from here?"
Xander turned his flashlight to a small trail, "This way but be careful."
Carefully Xander led Angel down the trail then up another one to the cliffs. Once on the cliff Angel went over to Buffy and took her into his arms.
Buffy clung to him sobbing in relief, "Angel I was so afraid I was going to lose you."
Angel held her close, "It's okay sweetheart I'm here."
Epilog 1:
Two months later:
Angel smiled at Buffy as he slipped the simple gold ring on her finger. They were just joined in marriage.
All her friends and family were in attendance. She wore a simple white gown that framed her tiny body. Angel wore a black suit instead of a tux. Xander was best man and Cordelia was maid of honor.
The reception took place at the Summers' home.
Joyce was at first none too happy about Buffy getting married at seventeen. And finding out she was going to be a grandmother didn't help at first.
But seeing Buffy and Angel together she could see the love they had for each other shining through.
Epilog 2:
Seven months later:
Angel held his infant daughter as Buffy slept. He'd just brought them home from the hospital that afternoon.
Angel looked down at little Chloe Anne and smiled. She was so tiny and perfect.
Buffy opened her eyes and watched Angel as he gently rocked the baby. She felt so lucky to have him and the baby both.
Angel looked up as he felt Buffy's eyes on him, "Do you need anything?"
Buffy shook her head, "Not really everything I need is right here in this room right now."
Angel smiled, "I love you Buffy."
Buffy sighed, "I love you too Angel."
Little Chloe opened her mouth and yawned.
