Our Navy Tradition
John
On active duty: Ensign John Taylor. Graduated OCS July 28, 2003. Completed 6 months training at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Charleston, SC. Currently attending Nuclear Power School in New York.
Geoff
On active duty: Geoffrey Taylor,CTT1, currently serving on the USS Princeton CG59.Served in the Persian Gulf Jul-Jan, 2002 and Mar-Nov 2003. Home port: San Diego, California.
Sandra
On active duty: Sandra Taylor, Geoff's wife, currently serving as a musician in the San Diego Navy Band. Effective Jan. 7, 2005, Sandra is on maternity leave, taking care of our new little Grace Marie.
Tom
On active duty: Tom Nagy,HM1, currently serving as a Navy medic with the Marines based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. 2004-2005: Completing one year training as a Physician Assistant at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA.
Jason
On active duty: Jason Johnson, served on the USS Chosin, in the Persian Gulf.He is currently stationed at the submarine yard in Bremerton, Washington.
Chuck
Charles Taylor, veteran Vietnam War,served on the USS Belle Grove, LSD-2 commissioned in 1943(the Belle Grove, not Charles). John and Geoff's Dad, and Tom's Uncle!
Harry
Lt Harry Marlow, 49th Fighter Squadron,
veteran WWII, Atcham Field, England, North Africa and Italy. Served in Army Air Corps and Air Force. Geoff, John, and Jason's grandfather.
Princeton
Geoff and John saw each other in uniform for the first time in November, 2003, when the Princeton returned from the Gulf.
Bob
Robert Juel, veteran WWII, and great-uncle of the actively serving generation.
Einar
Einar Arnold Juel, veteran WWII and Pearl Harbor survivor. Bob's father.
Clifford
Clifford Brewster, veteran WWI.
Home port: Long Beach, California. Bob and Harry's father-in-law, and great grandfather of Geoff, John, and Jason.
Princeton
Sandra doesn't go to sea, but travels all over the Western United States with the Navy Band.
