Special Events / News:
Our site is a free hosted site, so
there are some restrictions on number of web hits and updates can
be delayed or disrupted.
Please be patient with access to our site
especially during competitive playdown events.
Please access the NOCA
www.curlnoca.ca
site for updates as they maintain a playdown competitions web site
that the hosting member clubs
update.
2009 March 5-8: Our Club will host the Mixed playdowns for
Inter-Region 3-4.
2008 February 1-3: Our Club hosted the Seniors playdowns for
Inter-Region 3-4. There was no playdown required for Womens Seniors
as there was only one team entered into the NOCA playdowns from our
Inter-Region.
2007: The Northern Ontario Curling Association (NOCA) www.curlnoca.ca
was formed via an amalgamation of the three former Northern
Ontario Associations. The Terrace Bay Curling Club is now part of
Region #3 covering the area from Red Rock/Nipigon on the West through
to Manitouwadge/White River on the East and
Geraldton/Longlac/Hornepayne on the North. Region #3 combines with
Region #4 for Inter-Region playdowns (the next level of competition).
Region #4 takes in points East of our region through to Wawa, Sault
Ste. Marie & Blind River.
2005: January 19-23: Northwestern Ontario Curling Association Mens
Tankard Playdowns.

- 2004/05 - New carpet has been laid in the Club including
change rooms. The end and side boards on the ice have been freshly
painted and a new plastic coating has been attached to the end
boards to avoid paint chip problems.
2002/03 - If you haven't been to the Curling Club in over a year
or more, you will notice some changes around the club. Thanks to some
fund-raising efforts and community support we have purchased new
chairs for the club. A bright new paint job was also done, replacing
the yellow/brown colours with shades of blues & grey.
