This is the program we had for TCF Troy's
6th Annual Balloon Launch.

This same type of program can be created for any Compassionate Friends event.
I put this up hoping that other chapters would find it useful and helpful.
It can be created on a word processor, or seperate sections typed up
then cut and pasted onto a full sheet of paper for copying.

These are "screen shots" of the program, just to show the look and layout of the printed program. All the written material that is in here can be found at the TCF National Office's Website [ http://www.compassionatefriends.org/ ] in the TCF Chapter Members Only section of the site.

Email me, I'll give you a URL to go to so you can download a zipped copy of TCF Troy's program (660kb),
and a zipped copy of TCF Troy's program insert (654kb),
both are done in Word for Windows (Word 95) version 7.
If you don't have Word, you can download the FREE Word reader at Microsoft's site.

Since we ended our meeting that day outside, I wanted to include the creedo's somewhere. It ended up we didn't read them at the ended the meeting/balloon launch ceremony (it was windy that day, and to be heard around the large circle we had formed I was having to practically shout everything that I did read, and was getting a little horse by then *s*), but it was nice to be able to include it in the program that our members took home with them anyway.

Now, to do the layout for these, I have done screen shots for those pages.
It takes 2 sheets of paper to print. One sheet is printed on both sides,
and one sheet is cut in half and inserted into the middle of the folded "other sheet".
(So you only need to print 1/2 as many of that 2nd sheet, as you have printed the 1st one).

This is the back cover, and front cover of the program:

Printed page 1 of 4

This is the inside pages for the program (and backside of the page above):

Printed page 2 of 4

The above is all you really need to have a folded handout/program for an event.
I printed them out on marbled pastel paper, pink, blue, lilac and cream,
with the seperate inserted sheet (song's words + creedo's) on a peach-colored paper.
If you want to "do more" and have a sheet inserted into the above, a way to do that is explained next.

These next two sheets are printed on the full sheet of paper, then that is cut in half
so song's words are on one side, and the creedo's are on the other side.
That half sheet is inserted into the folded program.

Printed page 3 of 4

And on the backside of the sheet above ...
when above and below are cut in half, they'll be 2-sided "half sheets"

Printed page 4 of 4

I hope this is helpful to anyone wanting to know how to set up a "program" or "handout" for an event.
