The years flew by and our little boy with hair aruff
grew up to be a teen.
You impressed the girls with all your charms,
and soon became a marine.
You liked to hunt and fish and loved the great outdoors.
Your car was traveling all the roads,
the pedal to the floor.
You dreamed your dreams from lofty heights
and we had our dreams, too.
Then God reached down and took you home,
something else for you to do.
But we'll keep you close as always,
it won't even seem you've gone,
cause our hearts will keep the love,
that keeps us strong.
