Where are you from?
The focus of this CD is for you to listen to actual conversations.  Then you can read a summary of the discussion (and some of the CDs are typed word-for-word so you can do a dictation, if you want to ... Then you can check your spelling.
Our Philosophy
We are all students.
We are all course members.
There are facilitators and course members.  (It's hard to call a 45-year-old executive who has major responsibilities a "student."  He's a "course member.")
There are "seminar participants."

PHILOSOPHY
Please read this before you watch the videos or look at the other parts of this CD Rom

1. THANKS
Special thanks to Tony, Alex and Javier for showing Cary and Steve how to create videos using a digital Camera, Sony digital-to-analog conversion (and reverse).  Thanks also to the people at Apple.com and Sony for their machines and to Club Mac for the CD copier.  That’s how we published this!

2. Permission to use QuickTime. – You have permission to use QuickTime with this CD rom.  You can not copy the QuickTime program.  You must register (it is free) with apple.  Go to www.Apple.com and click on DOWNLOAD PROGRAMS.   We are able to use QuickTime because you agree to follow this important step.  Thank you!   If you continue to use this CD Rom, you agree to do this important step.

3.  Keep in touch – if you have any questions, write to Steve at englishlesson@mail.com   -- if the mail bounces back, try talkinternational@yahoo.com.

4. TRANSCRIPTS == The plan is to make a list of transcriptions (you write every word that you hear on the conversation videos).  Please visit our web site for more information.

5. IF YOU WANT TO CONTRIBUTE INFORMATION – please send me an email.  talkinternational@yahoo.com is a good place to send transcripts.

6. This CD Rom was created to give schools and teachers in South America, Asia and Europe some additional resources to use.  Students in the USA who have attended classes with Steve and Cary also can get this CD Rom.  It costs us $5.00 to make a copy of this CD (including the packaging), so that’s what we will ask you to pay us.  Thanks!  (You can buy us lunch if you want to!)

7. If you want to give a copy of this CD to your friends or a teacher at a school, please send an email to talkinternational@yahoo.com   -- we want to distribute free CDs to schools in Asia and South America.  Schools in Europe need to pay more (to help pay for the seminars that Cary will give in South America and Asia – to teach teachers how to teach!).

8. HOW TO INSTALL QUICKTIME – click on the icon that says “quicktimeinstaller”  then follow the instructions.  You must ACCEPT the agreement of the program.   If you have any questions, contact us at talkinternational@yahoo.com

This effort of “teachers to teachers” will help share the teaching methods that are used in Europe and USA.  The method started in 1965 and over 30,000 teachers have learned how to teach the “CELTA”  -- Certificate of English Language Teaching for Adults.  Some of these teachers are teaching in South America, Asia and Africa, but not enough.  That’s why Cary and Steve are working hard to create this set of CDs and we hope you will help us with the effort.  We know there are good teachers in South America, Asia and Africa, but they need a better technique.  Cary will give some good workshops in South America, we hope, soon…. And then he can take the seminars to Asia and Africa.  We plan to raise the money by charging teachers in USA and Europe more for the Cds.  When they pay, they are helping teachers in Africa learn!

We are two teachers who also own part of TALK School.  However, this project is independent from TALK because the quality of the videos is very rough…it is between teachers and between friends, not quite up to the standard of a TALK product (yet).  We hope you will give us suggestions for improving this product!
