Classwork for Weeks 10 to 18
Here are the questions for the readings...

a)  What's the main idea of the article?
b)  What could happen next? (predict what will happen)
c)  What is your reaction to this article?  Does it shock you?  Does the article make you angry or does it make you feel good?  Be specific.
d)  Identify facts and opinions in the article. 
e) What lesson did you learn  from this article? 

Answer these questions for each reading.
There are 5 readings each week, there are 9 weeks, so there are 45 readings for weeks 10 through 18.

Reading Session 10 to 10:30 am
1. Find an interesting book before 10 a.m.
2. Start reading your book at 10 a.m.
3. Get the WEEKLY READING SHEET from the teacher.  It needs the following info:  Your name, Name of the Book, Date and Summary
4. Write a summary about the pages you read … put the summary on the “WEEKLY READING SHEET”

Glue the page in your CLASS READING JOURNAL or WRITE YOUR ANSWERS in the Class Reading Journal.

1. you can work on Odyssey

2. You can look for the "United We Solve" cooperative worksheets.  These are exercises that involve reading and critical thinking.

3. You can read the pages from www.snopes.com and other critical thinking essays (ask for the Critical thinking course)

4. You can read a book.

5. You can clip articles from the newspaper or a magazine and write a summary (or answer the five questions at the top of this page)

6. You can ask for a practice test to work on.  Write your answers on a separate page.
