========================== TEACHERS OF TALK You are invited to the first of an ongoing mini-workshop, half-hour maximum, starting at 8:10 am and finishing at 8:40 am every THURSDAY. The meeting room will generally be where the facilitator wants to do it (classroom one is fun). Mature students are invited to join the teachers, since the more the students know about the teaching method, the better! (If you think a student might benefit from participating, bring along the student....If no students are present, of course, teachers can be more free to express doubts or make suggestions about current students...) Steve will give the first mini-workshop on July 19 and other teachers are invited to volunteer their ideas to Steve. If nobody comes up with an idea, then Steve will just rehash one of his conference seminars into a mini-workshop. "How to use a Video CD", "3 ways to use a camera in a classroom," "How to use websites in the classroom," etc. The mini-workshops will be videoed for teachers to watch (this is ongoing, continuing education, professional development, a chance to talk about what works in the classroom.... and it's totally voluntary). Anyone wanting to make suggestions to improve the format can contact Steve 463-0310. |
