I sent this letter to
a nice lady who writes about "Culture Shock"...  does anyone what to be in the EMAIL contact list?  Just write to me...and I'll add you to the list below...

Steve

==========================

I am a teacher at an English Language School.  I keep in touch with 300 (and growing) students from Europe, Asia and South America.  As long as they don't mind, I send them little quotes and cultural tidbits from my life and it's a "free lesson."

Absolutely.  Tell your readers to join our fun...  I can't promise every week that a lesson will arrive, but anyone who sends me a request will be placed on my yahoo.com list.  Some of my students work at banks that don't allow bulk mailing...  so I have to email them separately, when I remember.

Tell me more about Culture Shock... Maybe my students will be interested to learn more about your work.

WE ALSO MAKE A GROWING list of stories about our countries at
www.oocities.org/countries2001 Come and read about our countries and then send me more information to add to the web site...

I'm 44 years  old in 2002 and I plan to be on the planet for the next 40 years, so as long as there is e-mail and the will to type, I can commit to at least 20 years of "free lessons."

As far as partners for email, I suggest that your students can visit my web site at www.teacherstoteachers.com and they can see some of my students who have invited other students to write to them.  There's also our web site at www.oocities.org/talkstudents/alumni.html  and there are students there who welcome email.

There are lists of emails if you click on "EMAIL PARTNER" at www.teacherstoteachers.com

Here is the letter that spurred me (pushed me) to write the above words......
