A list of videos that are available from Steve McCrea I believe that most students today enjoy watching videos. They don't have to take notes if they watch the video and they can pick up information piece by piece and stop the teacher when they want to. Teachers can put COOL STUFF on the video and really catch the student's attention. Here are some videos that I can lend to students SAT -- my view about why most male students enjoy math and most female students do well in VERBAL. What does a teacher offer to students for bringing TECHNOLOGY into the CLASSROOM? Go to TECH ESOL GO TO TECHESOL Large type Go to TECHNET links 1. Every student needs to have an email address for giving to other people (a throw-away email address like yahoo.omc or hotmail.com) 2. Every student needs a FREE web site with their resume on it. tripod.com, angelfire.com and oocities.com are easy to use. 3. Every student needs to know how to make a Power Point presentation. 4. Every student needs to know how to convert a Microsoft WORD document into a WEB PAGE and then burn it on a CD. 5. Every student needs to know where to find tutorials on line. Any teacher who does not know how to do these things can send their students to this web page... then the student can ask neighbors and colleagues "How do I _________?" and it will happen! |
