When I learn a new language, I want to start a conversation with questions. If I keep asking questions, the other person will continue to talk (I hope). So I'm engaging in a converstation with a lot of listening! I also want to explain why I'm speaking to the person. Perhaps I want to persuade teh person to sign a petition to support the Statue of Wolrd Peace or perhaps I want the person to visit my wonderful city. If I keep saying sentences that I want to say, then I'm speaking in another language. I might not understand the questions I hear, but I can get my message across. |

Do you see what's happening? In spanish, there are 5 vowel sounds. A E I O U are really AH like Father E like Day pay they I like EEE me see we O is not like the U.S. > OOOOUUUUU go = gooo uuuu in USA, but in Spanish it is a short "oh" U is like a cow --- muuuuuuuuu but short. moo! There are no sounds like cat, pet, fish, cut, law, foot in Spanish, so jsut think liek a Spaniard and use just 5 vowel sounds for A E I O and U AH, AY, EEE, OH, UUUU. ... so Spanish speakers say "FEEESH" when they see fish and MEEE noooote when they see "minute" So, what do you want to say?
