SYNOPSIS

Harry Orwell was one of TV's more bohemian private eyes, living in a beachfront cottage near San Diego and often using the city bus for transportation (his car didn't work). An ex-Marine and ex-cop pensioned from the force after being injured in the line of duty, he augmented his income by taking cases that especially interested him. These usually involved luscious girls - none of whom seemed to matter much to Harry, however.

Harry's sometime nemesis, sometime ally, was Lt. Manny Quinlan of the San Diego Police Department was killed off in a February 1975 telecast, after which Harry moved his base of operations to Santa Monica. There, he inherited a new official nemesis, Lt. Trench, plus occasional unsolicited help with his cases from amateur criminologists Lester Hodges and Dr. Fong.

Infrequently seen, but highly visible on those occasions when she did appear, was Harry's girl-next-door, Farrah Fawcett.
