SYNOPSIS

Having spent most of their lives in the rugged and beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains (see High Mountain Rangers), Jesse Hawkes and his sons, Matt and Cody, had relocated to San Francisco. The move was prompted when Matt was taken to a hospital there to recover from serious injuries suffered during a drug bust in the mountains, and Jesse and Cody followed to be close to him and find the drug dealers who were responsible.

After solving the case, they stayed on, working as detective/bounty hunters, using the skills they had developed as rangers to help track down criminals.
