How it was played was players took turns spinning the slots. If single categories came up, the question was worth $50, a pair was $100 and a triple was $200. $500 won but if the champion was about to be defeated, he got one final spin to catch up. The winning player went on to face the devil. If the player accumulated $1000, or more, he won a mini-showcase of prizes worth roughly $3000-$5000. In 1981, an audience game was added where audience members got to play. On the wheels were $10-$100 amounts, whoever achieved the highest score after one spin went to face the devil for a bonus prize. In 1984, The Natural Triple Jackpot was added. If a player spun 3 categories across the board, they won an array of prizes that was in there. If no Natural Triple was hit, a prize was added for the next show. Also in 1984, A home game was added, If a lucky player was called, they got to play the audience game for money and prizes, all that was required was to punch a number on the phone keypad.
