SUMMARY

It's the year 620 AD, shortly after General Lee Ying, ascended the throne and established the Tong Dynasty. Emperor Lee Ying was due to announce who his successor was going to be by naming a heir to the throne from his three sons, Lee King Sing, Lee Sai Mun and Lee Wai Gut. Lee Sai Mun was the top contender as he was the one who helped Lee Ying the most to gain the throne. In order to prepare himself for the throne Lee Sai Mun decided to travel through China, with his third brother Lee Wai Gut, to round up able men who could help him to gain the throne. Both Lee Sai Mun and Lee Wai Gut took up an alias name to cover up their identities. Lee Sai Mun travelled as Mun Ping Yin, and Lee Wai Gut travelled as Mun Ping Kwong.

Whilst they were eating in a restaurant Lee Sai Mun and Lee Wai Gut came across some thugs who refuse to pay their bill. Lee Sai Mun wanted to step in to help the waiter but Lee Wai Gut stopped him stating that it was none of their business. Soon two students from top kung fu school, Ho Tin Moon, arrived to force the thugs to pay their bill. At once Lee Sai Mun was impressed by the men and went to thank them. Suddenly as they went to board a boat, another kung fu expert, Lee Yin, arrived and killed the two Ho Tin Moon students. Not wanting to get involved Lee Wai Gut dragged Lee Sai Mun to a brothel, and sent a servant Song Kwan to take the bodies back to Ho Tin Moon.

At the brothel Lee Wai Gut was less then impressed with the lack of beautiful women and was in the process of complaining when a beautiful girl, Sit Seung Wan, walked passed them. At once both Lee Sai Mun and Lee Wai Gut were impressed. At once Lee Wai Gut forced himself to Sit Seung Wan's room were she was attending to her client and boyfriend Man Ching Ping. At the sight of seeing Lee Wai Gut, Man Ching Ping, was unimpressed. Lee Wai Gut attempted use money to buy the service of Sit Seung Wan but she refused. Angry Lee Wai Gut fought with Man Ching Ping, who defeated him easily. At once Lee Sai Mun entered the room to restrain his brother realising that Man Ching Ping was a top kung fu expert.

As they left the brothel, more troubled arose as a group of Ho Tin Moon students fought with Lee Yin. Many Ho Tin Moon students were killed until Man Ching Ping emerged from the brothel and fought with Lee Yin. They battled to a standstill and Lee Yin made a run for it. Lee Sai Mun then approached Man Ching Ping to acknowledge his fighting skills, but he walked away still unimpressed with Lee Wai Gut. Meanwhile students of Ho Tin Moon accused their fierce rivals, Wu Ling, for the latest attack on the school. The eldest student, Sima Yan, at Ho Tin Moon took his junior classmates to Wu Ling to get even. Master Yin, of Wu Ling denied being involved in the attacks and accused Sima Yan of causing trouble. With neither men backing down, a battle between the schools loomed until Master Yum of Ho Tin Moon arrived to stop his students and apologised to Master Yin.

With no leads to the latest attacks on his school Master Yum, went to find the help of Lee Jing a former General who helped Lee Ying gain the throne. After hearing of the troubles Lee Jing agreed to help. Shortly after Man Ching Ping arrived to inform Master Yum, that the swordsman who attacked his students used kung fu which was from the west. Immediately Master Yum thought that the latest attacks might have been related to the fact that his school was due to accept a new band of students in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile Lee Sai Mun and Lee Wai Gut walked passed the doorsteps of Ho Tin Moon and realised that they were accepting new students the following day. At once Lee Sai Mun was impressed and wanted to get into Ho Tin Moon to see why the school was so special. Lee Wai Gut was against the idea, but Lee Sai Mun was determined. Lee Wai Gut decided that he would not take part. As they walked away to rest for the evening, from a distant, Kong Fung, a peasant country boy wearing torn clothes arrived in town. Immediately Kong Fung, approached the sign and was pleased that he had not arrived too late to take part in the contest, to become accepted as a student at Ho Tin Moon. Kong Fung looked at the sign at the top of the school which read "Ho Tin Moon", and reflected on the past.

As a boy he respected his old man who had always practise kung fu. He was inspired and wanted to learn kung fu. One day his old man duelled with another swordsman and was killed as his kung fu was not good enough. Before his death he instructed Kong Fung, that if he wanted to learn kung fu, he must learn from the best. With this in mind Kong Fung went to find a place to stay for the night. Following Kong Fung, arrived Chun Sik Sik, another peasant country girl. She was tired having travelled many days without sleep to follow Kong Fung who did not yet know she had arrived in town. Kong Fung did not have much money with him so he decided to stay at a very cheap room which was very dusty and had broken windows. As he walked around to inspect the poor state of the room his girlfriend Chun Sik Sik arrived. Her face was filled with joy having finally caught up with Kong Fung.

On the other hand Kong Fung's face was filled with anger as he did not want Chun Sik Sik to be with him. He felt that Chun Sik Sik was a distraction to his goal of getting into Ho Tin Moon and learning top kung fu. At once Kong Fung asked Chun Sik Sik, kindly to return home and wait for him to return. Chun Sik Sik refused to leave asking whether Kong Fung wanted her to wait for 10 years, 20 years or even 100 years. Kong Fung turned and held her hands and promised that she would only have to wait 3 years for him. At once Chun Sik Sik stated that 3 years was too long of a time to wait. Once again Kong Fung requested Chun Sik Sik to leave. She refused stating that she had travelled a long way to be with him and wanted to wait until Kong Fung was accepted into Ho Tin Moon.

Kong Fung was happy enough with this reply and went to town to find someone to write a reference for him so he could get into Ho Tin Moon. The merchant who promised to write Kong Fung a reference wanted 5 taels for his services. Having spent all his money on the room, Kong Fung, sold all of Chun Sik Sik's possessions but was still 2 taels short. At last Kong Fung wanted to sell the knife that he possessed ever since he was a child, but no one would buy it. Frustrated Kong Fung, took out his anger on Chun Sik Sik, who was trying to help and asked her to return to the hotel to wait for him. As Chun Sik Sik walked away she was sad, not knowing why Kong Fung was so angry. In the evening Kong Fung was still standing on the streets determined to sell his knife. Still he had no buyers, and the night was getting cold. He crouched down to keep warm.

As he was keeping warm, Man Ching Ping and Sit Seung Wan, walked pass. Man Ching Ping went to put a coat on Sit Seung Wan to keep her warm. In the process 10 taels dropped onto the ground, to were Kong Fung was sitting. At once Kong Fung was pleased, he took his old knife and thanked Man Ching Ping for buying it. Man Ching Ping refused to take it and disappeared into the night with Sit Seung Wan. But Kong Fung would never forget the act of kindness. With the remaining taels, Kong Fung, managed to buy some rice cakes but he was selfish and did not give any to Chun Sik Sik, who was starving. Kong Fung knew that his girlfriend was hungry but wanted to eat all of the food to save his strength for the contest the following day.

In order to get into Ho Tin Moon, each contestant had to pass two tests. One involved weight lifting and the other involved duelling against a Ho Tin Moon student. Lee Sai Mun, passed both tests easily and was accepted into the school. When it came Kong Fung's turn, he struggled to lift the heavy weights but through sheer determination he was able to lift it. However when he had to duel against a Ho Tin Moon student he was defeated easily and was asked to leave. At once Kong Fung was so determined to get into Ho Tin Moon, that he kneeled and begged Master Yum to accept him. Master Yum refused because his school was an exclusive school who only took the best talents. Lee Sai Mun felt sorry for Kong Fung and went to find him. As Kong Fung walked away all of his hoped had vanished. So when Lee Sai Mun tapped him on the shoulders he was angry.

He started to fight Lee Sai Mun who easily evaded his attacks. Knowing that he could not beat Lee Sai Mun, Kong Fung, begged Lee Sai Mun to kill him because he did not want to live. Lee Sai Mun stood over Kong Fung with a smile on his face asking how Kong Fung would get into Ho Tin Moon if he died. At once Kong Fung turned to thank Lee Sai Mun who offered to help him to get into Ho Tin Moon. At once Lee Sai Mun taught Kong Fung some kung fu stances. With this Kong Fung returned and passed the second phase of the test and was accepted as the last new student at Ho Tin Moon. When he returned to the hotel he looked sad and tricked Chun Sik Sik into thinking that he had failed. Finally when Kong Fung told Chun Sik Sik that he had been accepted as a student, she was sad realising that she had to leave.

At once Chun Sik Sik, refused to leave stating that she would get a job. Kong Fung did not like the idea and suggested that Chun Sik Sik leave so he would not be distracted from his ambition of learning kung fu. He walked over to Chun Sik Sik, and held her in his arms and promised that he would return to see her in three years time. The following day Kong Fung spent some quality time with Chun Sik Sik, before sending her away. Before allowing Chun Sik Sik to leave Kong Fung handed her an umbrella, and promised once more that in three years he would return to find her. With this Chun Sik Sik turned and left. Shortly afterwards, Kong Fung stumbled across a band of Ho Tin Moon students chasing after Lee Yin who was cornered. Suddenly Cheung Sam Long arrived to prevent the Ho Tin Moon students from capturing Lee Yin.

Cheung Sam Long wanted to personally capture Lee Yin who visited his nation to learn kung fu and was banished for breaking the rules. As Cheung Sam Long battled with the Ho Tin Moon students, LeeYin escaped. Meanwhile Lee Jing went to visit Master Yum, who informed him that the swordsman who attacked Ho Tin Moon was his brother Lee Yin. At once Lee Jing promised Master Yum that he would help him capture Lee Yin. Suddenly Cheung Sam Long arrived demanding to see Lee Jing because he wanted to capture Lee Yin. Lee Jing stated that he did not know where his brother was but vowed that he would find him. With this Lee Jing was about to leave when he discovered that Lee Sai Mun had was amongst the students at Ho Tin Moon. They acknowledge each other and finally Lee Jing left.

Meanwhile Cheung Sam Long wanted to obtain Master Yum, and Ho Tin Moon's services to help his nation. But Master Yum refused stating that his school would never take part in political affairs. With this Cheung Sam Long left. Meanwhile at Ho Tin Moon, the students their bullied and teased Kong Fung but Lee Sai Mun was always there to help him out. Lee Sai Mun also taught Kong Fung some basic kung fu so that he could keep up with all of his classmates. One evening Kong Fung, practised sword fighting till late in the evening. His classmates came out to tease him, followed by the second eldest classmate Foo who instructed them all to go to sleep. Upon returning to the room Foo discovered that Lee Sai Mun had left the school and another student Ma Kwong was also missing.

Ma Kwong was a spy from Wu Ling and went back to report back to Master Yin who wanted to create a new kung fu to defeat Ho Tin Moon and claim the title as the best kung fu school. Meanwhile Lee Sai Mun went to find Lee Jing and requested his help to gain the throne. Lee Sai Mun was greeted by Cheung Chut Chun, Lee Jing's wife who directed him to Lee Jing. At first Lee Jing refused to help Lee Sai Mun because he had once helped Lee Ying without being rewarded for his efforts. After seeing Lee Jing, Lee Sai Mun went gambling with his brother Lee Wai Gut. There they met Man Ching Ping who won a large sum of money. At once Lee Wai Gut wanted to get even and challenged Man Ching Ping to a gambling duel. Man Ching Ping easily won all of Lee Wai Gut's money much to his surprised.

As Man Ching Ping walked away with the winnings Lee Sai Mun spoke with him. Man Ching Ping knew that Lee Sai Mun was a kind man and offered to help him should he require his services. With this Lee Sai Mun was happy and returned to Ho Tin Moon were he was caught trying to sneak back in with Ma Kwong. In the morning Kong Fung for covering up, Lee Sai Mun, and Ma Kwong were all punished and forced to chop wood. Later Lee Sai Mun's sister Lee Lok Wan arrived in town to cause trouble. Upon seeing her Lee Wai Gut was not impressed. Lee Wai Gut was collaborating with eldest brother Lee King Sing to eliminate Lee Sai Mun and did not want to let his sister Lee Lok Wan know.

Lee Wai Gut then visited Lee Sai Mun with Lee Lok Wan at Ho Tin Moon. Lee Wai Gut informed Lee Sai Mun that he was returning to the capital and handed Lee Lok Wan over to him to look after. Shortly after Lee Lok Wan created trouble at Ho Tin Moon and caused Lee Sai Mun to be kicked out of the school. Lee Sai Mun did not worry though as he only wanted to see what Ho Tin Moon was like. Later Lee Lok Wan has an argument with a Tak Keut messenger. Lee Sai Mun steps in to sort out the trouble without causing further trouble. A monk watches on and is impressed with Lee Sai Mun. The monk visits Lee Jing, to inform him that he had met a noble and wise young man. As they are discussing Lee Sai Mun pays Lee Jing a visit. The monk sees Lee Sai Mun and predicts that he would one day become an Emperor. Upon hearing this Lee Jing decides to offer his services to back Lee Sai Mun as the successor to Lee Ying.

Meanwhile Lee Jing's brother Lee Yin, collaborates with Master Yin of Wu Ling to eliminate Ho Tin Moon. Lee Yin was a former student of Ho Tin Moon who was banished for breaking the rules, and now he wanted to get even. Back at Ho Tin Moon, Kong Fung, was being teased and bullied by Ma Kwong. Now that Lee Sai Mun had left there was no one to help him. After he was bullied before lunch, Kong Fung, was in a bad mood. Suddenly Chun Sik Sik, came into the dinner room crying rice for all of the Ho Tin Moon students. She had returned and found a job at Ho Tin Moon, so she could see Kong Fung who was shocked to see her. At once Kong Fung dragged her away and attempted to persuade her to leave. Chun Sik Sik refused wanting to stay by Kong Fung's side. Suddenly Ma Kwong and other Ho Tin Moon students arrived to cause trouble. Ma Kwong attempted to touch Chun Sik Sik so Kong Fung stopped him and they began fighting. Kong Fung was getting beaten up until elder classmate, Sima Yan, arrived to stop them.

At once Sima Yan blamed Kong Fung for the trouble despite knowing that he had been bullied. Kong Fung was then sent to go shopping as his punishment. Whilst out shopping, Kong Fung, ran into Man Ching Ping. He immediately approached Man Ching Ping, thanking him for the money that allowed him to be accepted as a student at Ho Tin Moon. Kong Fung presented Man Ching Ping with his sword, but he refused to accepted it. Man Ching Ping then arrived at a restaurant to eat and still Kong Fung followed him eager for an opportunity to repay him back. Cheung Sam Long was at the restaurant, and had an argument with Man Ching Ping. At once Kong Fung realised that it was an opportunity to repay Man Ching Ping, so he attacked Cheung Sam Long who easily evaded his attacks. Still Kong Fung attacked Cheung Sam Long despite attaining many bruises. At last Man Ching Ping stepped in to block on of Cheung Sam Long's strikes. With this Kong Fung decided to leave and vowed to repay Man Ching Ping for his good favour one day.

As Kong Fung left, Cheung Sam Long, chased after him as he had never seen such a loyal person before. Cheung Sam Long offered to accept Kong Fung as a student and teach him kung fu. Kong Fung declined because learning kung fu from Ho Tin Moon was his life ambition. Cheung Sam Long would not listen however and stole Kong Fung's money and informed him that they were to meet later if he wanted the money back. Instead of meeting with Cheung Sam Long, Kong Fung, returned to inform Sima Yan that he had lost the money and could not by the shopping supplies. At once Sima Yan was angry and punished Kong Fung to chop wood all night without food. As Kong Fung went to task at chopping wood, Chun Sik Sik, entered with a bowl of rice and chicken for Kong Fung. At once he refused to eat it asking Chun Sik Sik to leave. However once he realised that on one was watching he decided to eat the rice and was pleased to have Chun Sik Sik by his side.

Suddenly both Cheung Sam Long and Lee Lok Wan arrived at Ho Tin Moon demanding to see Kong Fung. Sima Yan greeted Cheung Sam Long with many of the Ho Tin Moon students. At once Kong Fung went outside to see what the trouble was about. When he realised that the trouble was over himself he demanded Cheung Sam Long to leave declining to learn kung fu from Cheung Sam Long. At once Sima Yan was jealous that a top kung fu expert had wanted to teach kung fu to Kong Fung and accused him of breaking Ho Tin Moon's rules. Sima Yan then wanted to kick Kong Fung out of Ho Tin Moon, until Master Yum arrived to give him one more chance. Kong Fung was to stare at a wall for three days.

Meanwhile Cheung Sam Long spotted Lee Yin and gave chase. Lee Yin ran into Lee Jing's house and Cheung Sam Long went inside to search for him. He ran into Cheung Chut Chun and immediately fell involve with her until, he discovered that she was married to Lee Jing. Later Cheung Sam Long discovered that Lee Jing was the former General who served under Lord Yang Sau and then General Lee Ying in the days of the Siu Dynasty. At once Cheung Sam Long offered to obtain Lee Jing's services and took an oath of brotherhood with Cheung Chut Chun, and Lee Jing. Unfortunately for Cheung Sam Long, Lee Jing only agreed to think over the offer. Back at Wu Ling, Master Yin had devised a method to beat Ho Tin Moon with the help of Lee Yin. At once they made preparations to attack Ho Tin Moon.

In the meantime, Chun Sik Sik, visited Kong Fung as he was punished to stare at a wall for days. She was discovered by Ma Kwong and Sima Yan, who would later report it to Master Yum. Before he could be punished, Master Yin and his Wu Ling students attacked Ho Tin Moon. Master Yin easily defeated all of the Ho Tin Moon students until the four old masters of Ho Tin Moon arrived to defeat him. Upon being defeated, Master Yin decided to leave. After that attack it was decided that the four masters of Ho Tin Moon would go to a secret place to combine their kung fu to form an new unstoppable kung fu. Master Yum decided that Kong Fung would go with the four masters as he had broken the rules once more by having Chun Sik Sik visit him whilst he was punished to stare at the wall. Master Yum informed Kong Fung that he was not allowed to practise kung fu any more until he was free of distractions. At once Kong Fung was angry at Chun Sik Sik. This time he told Chun Sik Sik that he did not want to see her any more.

Kong Fung told Chun Sik Sik that he would not wait for her regardless of whether she would wait for him. Chun Sik Sik cried and stated that she would wait 10 years, or even 30 years for Kong Fung, even though he would not wait for her. Kong Fung turned in anger and stated that Chun Sik Sik had once said that she could not stand to be without him for three nights so how could she stand to wait for 30 years. Kong Fung then added that he did not want to be with Chun Sik Sik any more and asked her to leave. Chun Sik Sik was shocked to hear those words from Kong Fung, and walked slowly away. As she walked away she turned and promised that she would wait a lifetime for Kong Fung. Once Chun Sik Sik had gone, Kong Fung, was angry with himself. When he returned to his room, he found that Chun Sik Sik, had gone without taking the umbrella which he had given to her. At once he grabbed the umbrella and held it tightly in his palms wandering whether he had done the right thing.

Meanwhile Chun Sik Sik wanders through town at midnight still in a state of shock. She bumps into a group of men who attempt to create some trouble until Cheung Chut Chun arrives. Upon seeing Chun Sik Sik in a sad state Cheung Chut Chun takes her back to her house. At the house Chun Sik Sik refuses to tell Cheung Chut Chun her name or even speak with her. Despite this Cheung Chut Chun was kind enough to offer Chun Sik Sik a place to stay. The following day Lee Sai Mun visits Lee Jing to discuss the attack on Ho Tin Moon by Wu Ling. Lee Sai Mun bumps into Chun Sik Sik and is at once taken by her beauty. Later Lee Sai Mun plays the flute to Chun Sik Sik, but she still ignores him. Finally Lee Jing informs Lee Sai Mun that Chun Sik Sik is a kind hearted girl who must have had her heart broken that she refuses to speak with anyone. At once Lee Sai Mun attempted to make her happy buy buying her a mask. Chun Sik Sik refuses to accept it and continues to ignore Lee Sai Mun who attempted to guess her name.

Lee Sai Mun goes through every surname possible until he arrives at "Chun", upon hearing this Chun Sik Sik stopped giving her name away. Upon guessing her name Lee Sai Mun continued to guess that Chun Sik Sik must have been dumped by her boyfriend to be in such a bad mood. Upon hearing Lee Sai Mun's words, Chun Sik Sik became upset remembering how Kong Fung told her that he no longer wanted to be with her. At once Chun Sik Sik ran out of the room and began crying. Cheung Chut Chun passed by and asked why she was crying. Chun Sik Sik responded that her boyfriend since the age of eight years old had dumped her to learn kung fu. Upon hearing this Cheung Chut Chun urged Chun Sik Sik to forget about her heartless boyfriend and move on with her life. Cheung Chut Chun also informed Chun Sik Sik that the only reason why she was so upset was because Kong Fung was her first and only love to date. Cheung Chut Chun urged Chun Sik Sik that their were better men in the world, hinting at Lee Sai Mun. After that event Chun Sik Sik began to be more receptive of Lee Sai Mun. Chun Sik Sik finally accepted the mask that Lee Sai Mun brought for her and as she walked away she smiled being happy once more.

Meanwhile Master Yin and Lee Yin work on a plan to kill the four masters of Ho Tin Moon. Lee Yin goes to find the four masters of Ho Tin Moon and pretend to change his ways. Kong Fung falls for Lee Yin's trick and they become good friends with Lee Yin even helping Kong Fung out on his chores and help with practising kung fu. Finally the four masters had developed a new form of kung fu, Man Chung Sun Kung, which would be the best kung fu ever. Eager to kill Lee Ying, to avenge the death of his parents Man Ching Ping sought to steal the Man Chung Sun Kung manual, he ventured up to were the four masters were practising kung fu. On the same day Lee Lok Wan went to visit Kong Fung and stopped him from practising kung fu. She faked an injury and had Kong Fung carry her down the mountain. When Kong Fung, was gone, Lee Yin took the opportunity to poison the four Ho Tin Moon masters and stole half of the Man Chung Sun Kung manual, before making a run for it.

Kong Fung ran into Lee Sai Mun as he was carrying Lee Lok Wan down the mountain. When Lee Sai Mun was told that Lee Yin was the only one left behind with the four masters he suspected trouble. Both men raced back to the secret room only to discover that all of the four masters were dead and half of the manual was missing. At once Kong Fung and Lee Sai Mun chased after Lee Yin. The caught up and battled, Lee Yin, could have taken Lee Sai Mun's life but the blow was blocked by Kong Fung. Lee Yin managed to escape and Kong Fung was blamed for the death of the four masters. Lee Yin was stopped on his escape attempt first by, Lee Jing, then Cheung Sam Long and finally Man Ching Ping who managed to steal the Man Chung Sun Kung manual. Shortly afterwards he lost the manual to Cheung Sam Long who managed to obtain the other half. Not wanting to learn the kung fu Cheung Sam Long handed over the manual to Lee Jing who in turn handed it over to Lee Sai Mun.

At once Lee Sai Mun returned the manual to Master Yum. But before he did so, he made Master Yum promise to release and teach Kong Fung the kung fu in the Man Chung Sun Kung manual. Upon obtaining the manual Master Yum called a meeting of his school and released Kong Fung. He informed all of his students that he would personally teach Kong Fung kung fu. Upon hearing the announcement many of the students especially Sima Yan were upset and jealous. Master Yum then spoke with Kong Fung and promised to teach him Man Chung Sun Kung. Kong Fung was extremely happy finally having the opportunity to learn the best kung fu. After helping out Kong Fung, Lee Sai Mun, received news that Lee King Sing and Lee Wai Gut had ambushed and weaken his forces. Upon returning to his military post, Lee Sai Mun, realised his brother Lee Wai Gut had betrayed him. Further more Lee Sai Mun discovered that Lee Wai Gut harboured ambitions of becoming Emperor and thus sided with the weaker Lee King Sing to deal with him. With this in mind Lee Sai Mun headed back to the capital to protect his turf.

At the capital his uncle Minister Dau, urged Emperor Lee Ying, to name his successor immediately. Minister Dau feared that the Tong Dynasty would end up like the Siu Dynasty when Yeung Guo and Yeung Yung fought each other for the throne. Minister Dau favoured Lee King Sing as the heir to the throne however. When Lee Sai Mun realised who his uncle had favoured, he personally paid a visit to his cousin, Dau Chiu Yee. Since childhood Dua Chiu Yee had always had a crush on Lee Sai Mun. He used this to his advantage by informing Dau Chiu Yee that they could not see each other any more, if Lee King Sing was named the heir to the throne. This was because Minister Dau only wanted his daughter to marry the next Tong Emperor. Upon hearing Lee Sai Mun's comments, Dau Chiu Yee returned home and threaten to commit suicide if her father forced her to marry Lee King Sing. Dau Chiu Yee's plans worked as Minister Dau changed his mind. When Lee Wai Gut found out that Minister Dau had changed his mind he worked on another plan. Lee Sai Mun was accused of having an affair with one of Emperor Lee Ying's Concubines. Following that he was accused of murdering one of the Emperor's Concubines. Lee Wai Gut's plan worked as Minister Dau was bitterly disappointed with Lee Sai Mun and sided with Lee King Sing once more.

Back at Ho Tin Moon, Kong Fung, continued to learn Man Chung Sun Kung with Master Yum. One night Master Yum went crazy as he tried to learn a higher level of the kung fu. Kong Fung stepped in to use his inner power to save Master Yum. In the process Kong Fung suffered a heavy injury but he recovered shortly after. Having been saved by Kong Fung, Master Yum, began to trust him more. At first Master Yum thought Kong Fung harboured evil intentions and was thus reluctant to teach him. After that event Master Yum allowed Kong Fung to learn the higher level of kung fu. After a while both Master Yum and Kong Fung hit a dead spot with the kung fu. Unable to progress further, Master Yum, informed Kong Fung to take a break. When Kong Fung returned to his room he sensed that something was missing but he did not know what it was. Then his focus turned once more to the umbrella left behind by Chun Sik Sik. He picked up the umbrella and held it in his hands. He reflected over the harsh words he had used to tell Chun Sik Sik to leave him. At last he remembered that Chun Sik Sik had promised to wait for a life time for him before leaving. As the memories ran through his mind, Kong Fung held the umbrella tightly regretting what he had done.

Meanwhile for Chun Sik Sik a life time had vanished in a matter of months. She no longer loved Kong Fung, instead she held the mask that Lee Sai Mun had brought for her and wandered where he was. Suddenly Cheung Chut Chun walked into the room, so Chun Sik Sik asked her why Lee Sai Mun hadn't visited Lee Ying for a while. Cheung Chut Chun then informed Chun Sik Sik that Lee Sai Mun was visiting the capital but told her not to worry as Lee Sai Mun was due to be back soon. With this Chun Sik Sik held on to the mask tightly awaiting the return of Lee Sai Mun. Meanwhile Man Ching Ping was determined to avenge the death of his parents by killing Emperor Lee Ying. He departed his girlfriend and visited the capital and attempted to assassinate Lee Ying was he was praying. Man Ching Ping failed but he managed to escape. Lee Wai Gut used the ambush to deepen the mistrust between Lee Ying and Lee Sai Mun by accusing Lee Sai Mun as the mastermind behind the ambush. At once Lee Ying was upset. He set Lee Sai Mun away from the capital and immediately named Lee King Sing as the heir to the throne.

Lee Sai Mun did not back down though instead the set back made him more determined. He planned to use the forces of all the kung fu experts to help him defeat Lee King Sing and Lee Wai Gut. He returned to work on a plan with Lee Jing. On the way back he was being followed so he decided to meet up with Kong Fung who was walking through the streets. First the went drinking and the to the brothel to party. Lee Sai Mun hoped to make Lee Wai Gut drop his guard by pretending to have lost his grasp on life. At the brothel Kong Fung and Lee Sai Mun ran into Man Ching Ping and Sit Seung Wan. Man Ching Ping approached the men eager to find the identity behind Lee Sai Mun who continued to use the alias Mun Ping Yin. The three men sat drinking together for the first and last time as friends. Kong Fung still had not forgotten Man Ching Ping's good deeds making him feel a little uneasy.

Later Lee Sai Mun decided to take Chun Sik Sik out to town. But when he realised that he was being followed he decided to take Chun Sik Sik, gambling which upset her. To add further insult Lee Sai Mun took Chun Sik Sik to a brothel. Finally Chun Sik Sik could not stand Lee Sai Mun and decided to run out on him. Shortly afterwards Lee Sai Mun decided to give chase and apologise for his behaviour, adding that he would never to anything to hurt her again. With this Chun Sik Sik had forgiven Lee Sai Mun, and began smiling again. Over the following months Lee Sai Mun spent more time with Chun Sik Sik, watching the flowers grow. Finally Lee Sai Mun and Lee Jing worked on a plan of establishing their own kung fu school to participate in a kung fu forum. Lee Sai Mun remembered that Kong Fung had mentioned that the winner of the kung fu forum would rule over all of the kung fu schools. So Lee Sai Mun wanted to use a school which he had control over to participate in and win the event.

Lee Jing then went to Tit Kim Moon, and caused the eldest student to kill his own master. Lee Jing thus obtained the control of Tit Kim Moon by bribing the eldest classmate. Having gained control of a kung fu school, Lee Sai Mun then obtained the services of Man Ching Ping, who only agreed to help after discovering the real identity of Lee Sai Mun by chance. Man Ching Ping hoped that by helping Lee Sai Mun he would have an opportunity to kill Emperor Lee Ying. Lee Sai Mun wanted Man Ching Ping to represent his new school Tit Kim Moon at the kung fu forum. However Lee Jing feared that Man Ching Ping's kung fu would not be good enough as he was injured in a duel many years ago. With this Lee Jing used all of his inner power to heal Man Ching Ping. Lee Jing then lost all of his kung fu. When Lee Sai Mun found out what Lee Jing had done he was grateful. Lee Jing then told Lee Sai Mun that a thank you was not necessary as long as he was well rewarded when Lee Sai Mun becomes Emperor. Lee Sai Mun then vowed that he would not forget Lee Jing's deeds.

Meanwhile Kong Fung and Master Yum still could not work out how to continue on with learning a higher level of Man Chung Sun Kung. Master Yum once again told Kong Fung to rest and take things easy, so he went to practise by himself. Whilst he was practising kung fu, Lee Lok Wan, came to bother him. At once he was not impressed and told her to leave. Later Lee Sai Mun came pass and saw that Kong Fung was bored. Lee Sai Mun asked Kong Fung to join him because he was going to watch flowers open with his girlfriend. Kong Fung declined but Lee Sai Mun insisted. Suddenly Lee Sai Mun's girlfriend walked towards them. From a distant Kong Fung could see that it was Chun Sik Sik. When Lee Sai Mun saw Chun Sik Sik walking towards them he was happy and told Kong Fung that was the woman whom he loved Chun Sik Sik. At once Kong Fung became unhappy and made an excuse to leave, before Chun Sik Sik had a chance to see him.

Kong Fung then returned to his room. Once more he picked up the umbrella and reflected on the past. He remembered that Chun Sik Sik had promised to wait a life time for him, but now she had fallen in love with someone else. Kong Fung became outraged and ran out to take his anger out on a tree. In the process he bloodied his fingers. Suddenly Lee Lok Wan returned to ask him why he was so angry. Kong Fung immediately took his anger out on Lee Lok Wan before heading off into town. As it happens Man Ching Ping was walking through. Upon seeing Kong Fung in a sad state Man Ching Ping, could guess that it was over a woman and invited him for a drink. When Man Ching Ping found out that Kong Fung's girlfriend had fallen in love with someone else he offered some advice. Man Ching Ping told Kong Fung that he should go and find her, and not give up so easily. The following day Kong Fung woke up with a head ache. Outside his classmates had stolen his umbrella and started to throw it around.

Kong Fung was not impressed and ran outside chasing them like a mad dog to get the umbrella back of them. Having regained the umbrella, Kong Fung, thought that it was about time to give it back to Chun Sik Sik. He sent a small boy to present the umbrella to Chun Sik Sik, but she had gone out with Lee Sai Mun. Kong Fung then took the umbrella back and walked slowly back towards Ho Tin Moon. Along the way he bumped into Lee Sai Mun and Chun Sik Sik. Upon seeing Kong Fung, Chun Sik Sik, froze unable to control her emotions. Kong Fung pretended not to know Chun Sik Sik, asking Lee Sai Mun to introduce him to his girlfriend. Lee Sai Mun then introduced Chun Sik Sik to Kong Fung and asked whether he would like to join them for dinner. Kong Fung declined stating that he was about to return the umbrella to someone but obviously they no longer needed it. Upon seeing the umbrella Chun Sik Sik, realised that Kong Fung had not forgotten about her, and still loved her deeply. She started to feel guilty because she had previously told Kong Fung that she would wait a life time for him. Chun Sik Sik immediately felt uncomfortable.

Kong Fung then stated that he had other things to do and charged off. Lee Sai Mun was shocked by Kong Fung's behaviour, that he felt he had to apologise to Chun Sik Sik. Lee Sai Mun informed Chun Sik Sik that Kong Fung was his best friend and although a little weird he was a very kind hearted person. Chun Sik Sik felt even worse upon hearing that Kong Fung was Lee Sai Mun's best friend. Upon returning home Chun Sik Sik told Lee Sai Mun that she was not feeling well and declined to go out for dinner. Chun Sik Sik was sad again so Cheung Chut Chun asked her why she was so sad. Chun Sik Sik then told Cheung Chut Chun that her x-boyfriend had come to find her, and she had promised to wait a life time for him. At once Cheung Chut Chun was quick to state that all oaths and promises are made to be broken and asked Chun Sik Sik who she loved the most. Chun Sik Sik replied that she did not know, and informed Cheung Chut Chun that she did not want to see Lee Sai Mun until she works it out.

The following day Lee Sai Mun insisted on seeing Chun Sik Sik, who then informed him that she did not want to see him anymore. At once Lee Sai Mun thought that Chun Sik Sik had another lover and stormed off in rage. Meanwhile Kong Fung was walking through town in rage, when Lee Lok Wan went to find him. At once Kong Fung fought with one of Lee Lok Wan's body guards and suffered a cut to the shoulders. This did not please Kong Fung, taking his anger out on Lee Lok Wan once more. Later Kong Fung did return to apologise to Lee Lok Wan realising that he had been a little bit out of step. His apology was accepted and as he walked away he realised that someone had been following him. He turned in an instant and realised that it was Chun Sik Sik. He immediately turned to greet her but, Chun Sik Sik, decided to run away. Finally heaven intervene as it began to rain. Chun Sik Sik decided to hide in the bush and was bitten by a poison snake. Kong Fung immediately came to her aid but by then Chun Sik Sik had passed out.

Kong Fung then took Chun Sik Sik to a cave to bandage the wounds to stop the poison from spreading thus saving her life. Kong Fung stood over Chun Sik Sik, in the cave and wished that he could turn back the hands of time. He regretted telling Chun Sik Sik that he did not want to see her anymore. Despite all this Kong Fung was happy for her that she had now found a gentleman who would treat her well. Once the rain cleared Kong Fung carried Chun Sik Sik back to Lee Jing's house but took off before anyone could see him. After Chun Sik Sik had recovered Cheung Chut Chun tricked her into thinking that she was about to die. Thinking that she was going to die Chun Sik Sik asked, Cheung Chut Chun, that she wanted to see Lee Sai Mun. At once Cheung Chut Chun laughed stating that Chun Sik Sik had finally worked out whom she loved the most. At once Chun Sik Sik, realised that Cheung Chut Chun was right, she really loved Lee Sai Mun only.

The following day Chun Sik Sik went to find Lee Sai Mun, and was greeted by Lee Lok Wan who revealed Lee Sai Mun's real identity. Upon discovering that Lee Sai Mun was the second Prince of Emperor Lee Ying, Chun Sik Sik felt happy that she had made the right choice. Lee Sai Mun on the other hand was less than impress when he discovered that Chun Sik Sik knew his real identity. He thought Chun Sik Sik only came back to him because he was a prince so he told her to leave. Upon hearing this Chun Sik Sik immediately ran away and went to a monastery. Chun Sik Sik then wanted to become a priestess but they refused to accept her. Meanwhile in an attempt to cheer Kong Fung up, Lee Lok Wan found Cheung Sam Long to try and help Kong Fung learn the Man Chung Sun Kung. Sima Yan stumbled across them and saw that Cheung Sam Long had hold of the kung fu manual. Having harboured a hatred for Kong Fung, Sima Yan, immediately punished him and tied him upside down on a tree. The following day Lee Lok Wan found Kong Fung hanging upside down on the tree and cut him loose. Suddenly as he was falling Kong Fung figured out how to learn the higher level of the Man Chung Sun Kung and began practising it immediately.

Meanwhile Lee Wai Gut uncovers Lee Sai Mun's plans to enter and win the kung fu forum with Tit Kim Moon. He personally ventures out to foil Lee Sai Mun's plans. Lee Wai Gut forms an alliance with Wu Ling to deal with Ho Tin Moon, so that they could win. Master Yin informs Lee Wai Gut that Sima Yan, of Ho Tin Moon must be dealt with in order for them to win. Lee Wai Gut obliges and sends men to ambush Sima Yan who was at a brothel. He plan was as Kong Fung and Lee Lok Wan arrived to save Sima Yan. Despite this Sima Yan accused Kong Fung of ambushing him. With no proof to suggest otherwise Master Yum gave Kong Fung three days to find the real attackers to prove his innocence. Kong Fung immediately went out to find the real attackers with Lee Lok Wan. Together they figured that Ma Kwong was a suspect because he often disappears from Ho Tin Moon in the middle of the night. For the following days they watch Ma Kwong's movements closely.

Meanwhile Lee Wai Gut also sought to deal with Man Ching Ping who was helping Lee Sai Mun. Once again his ambush failed to kill Man Ching Ping. Having failed Lee Wai Gut captured Sit Seung Wan and offered to form an alliance with Man Ching Ping. He refused at first until he discovered that Lee Sai Mun was not well liked by Emperor Lee Ying. Man Ching Ping then agreed to help Lee Wai Gut waiting for an opportunity to get closer to Lee Ying so he could kill him. That same evening Kong Fung and Lee Lok Wan followed Ma Kwong by they were prevented from doing so by Man Ching Ping who was wearing a mask. Having failed to follow Ma Kwong they sought the advice of Lee Sai Mun who suspected that Ma Kwong was reporting back to Wu Ling. When Ma Kwong returned to Ho Tin Moon, Kong Fung, exposed him as a traitor working for Wu Ling. After an attempted escape he was killed by Master Yum.

The following day Lee Sai Mun visited Kong Fung to invite him to dinner on behalf of his sister Lee Lok Wan. Lee Sai Mun wanted to become a match maker for his sister but Kong Fung declined stating that he only treated Lee Lok Wan like his own little sister. Kong Fung then changed the subject and asked Lee Sai Mun how things were going with Chun Sik Sik. At once Lee Sai Mun, informed Kong Fung not to mention Chun Sik Sik and told him that she had left. At once Kong Fung wanted to know where Chun Sik Sik had gone but Lee Sai Mun decided to change the topic. Upon returning to Lee Jing's house, Lee Sai Mun, was informed by General Wat Chi Kung, that Lee Wai Gut had set out to deal with him. Lee Sai Mun did not worry however thinking that Lee Wai Gut could not possibly foil his plans of winning the kung fu forum which has to be held shortly as Man Ching Ping was sure to win.

On the day of the contest, Lee Sai Mun, discovered that Man Ching Ping had betrayed him. Instead of representing Tit Kim Moon, Man Ching Ping, represented Wu Ling. Man Ching Ping fought his way through the contest and won every single match. His final match was up against Sima Yan, of Ho Tin Moon. It was no contest Man Ching Ping won easily. But when Wu Ling was about to claim the title as the best kung fu school, Cheung Sam Long, stood up and stated that the contest was unfair as Man Ching Ping was not a student at Wu Ling. Master Yin was cocky and arrogant thinking that Man Ching Ping was invincible that he gave Ho Tin Moon another chance. Eager to become famous, Kong Fung, charged in to fight with Man Ching Ping without Master Yum's permission. Kong Fung used his newly acquired Man Chung Sun Kung skills to defeated Man Ching Ping, who kicked him in the chest as he received a heavy blow himself. Kong Fung won and Ho Tin Moon remained as the top kung fu school.

Sima Yan was bitterly jealous however and wanted to kill Kong Fung. Later after failing to capture Lee Yin, who had been kicked out of Wu Ling, Sima Yan decided to challenge Kong Fung to a fight to save his face. Instead of duelling with Kong Fung, Sima Yan, set a trap and ambushed him. Kong Fung would have been killed had it not been for Lee Lok Wan who warned Master Yum that Sima Yan had planted a trap. After saving Kong Fung, Master Yum wanted to kick Sima Yan out of Ho Tin Moon until Kong Fung intervened. Despite this Sima Yan was determined to eliminate Kong Fung. Meanwhile Lee Wai Gut left having foiled Lee Sai Mun's plans. Having failed Lee Sai Mun went to apologise to Lee Jing, who had done so much to help restore Man Ching Ping's powers only to have him betray them. Lee Jing told Lee Sai Mun not to worry and continued to offer his services as long as Lee Sai Mun still wanted gain the throne.

Cheung Chut Chun on the other hand had enough and wanted Lee Jing to stop helping Lee Sai Mun. When Cheung Sam Long offered to take Cheung Chut Chun, and Lee Jing back to Tibet, the promise of fame and fortune persuaded Cheung Chut Chun to take up the offer. Knowing that Lee Jing would not leave, Cheung Chut Chun spoke with Lee Sai Mun who convinced Lee Jing to leave. Later Cheung Chut Chun told Lee Sai Mun that he should go and find Chun Sik Sik, because she had always loved Lee Sai Mun. upon hearing this Lee Sai Mun realised that he was wrong to doubt Chun Sik Sik's love for him and regretted telling her to leave. Lee Sai Mun then continued to a pub were he got extremely drunk and angry until Kong Fung and Lee Lok Wan arrived to help him. When Kong Fung discovered that Lee Sai Mun was in a sad state over Chun Sik Sik, he reluctantly offered to help Lee Sai Mun to find her.

The following day Kong Fung spoke with Cheung Chut Chun and discovered that Chun Sik Sik had gone to a monastery. Together with Lee Sai Mun, Kong Fung, went to the monastery to find Chun Sik Sik. The priestess there told Lee Sai Mun that he must pray for the return of Chun Sik Sik. So he knelt and stated that he regretted telling Chun Sik Sik to leave and would give anything to have her back. Upon hearing this statement Chun Sik Sik came out to see Lee Sai Mun. As she came out Kong Fung hid behind the curtain so he would not be spotted. Chun Sik Sik then forgave Lee Sai Mun and they held each other tightly before leaving the monastery. Behind the curtains Kong Fung was bitterly disappointed that Chun Sik Sik could so easily forgive Lee Sai Mun, yet would not so easily forgive him for telling her to leave. Yet despite this Kong Fung was happy for Chun Sik Sik as long as she was happy to be with Lee Sai Mun.

Later Lee Jing finally decides to leave Lee Sai Mun who holds a small gathering to send him off. After Lee Jing left the gathering Lee Sai Mun was depressed and got drunk. His two loyal subjects then decided to capture Cheung Chut Chun, preventing Lee Jing from leaving with Cheung Sam Long. At once Lee Jing was unimpressed and Cheung Sam Long accused Lee Sai Mun of using underhand tactics to stop Lee Jing from leaving. To clear the confusion General Wat Chi Kung was going to kill himself to prove that Lee Sai Mun did not order them to capture Cheung Chut Chun. Upon doing this act Cheung Sam Long forgave Lee Sai Mun as did Lee Jing who elected to remain behind much to the disappiontment of Cheung Chut Chun. Cheung Sam Long then left China, never to return again.

The following day Lee Sai Mun was extremely happy because Chun Sik Sik had returned by his side and Lee Jing elected to stay. They spent days together and went to a temple to seek guidance on their romantic future. Kong Fung was at the temple with Lee Lok Wan. Upon seeing Chun Sik Sik, Kong Fung, dropped all of the future predicting sticks. At once Chun Sik Sik went over to help him and as they picked up the sticks, both Chun Sik Sik and Kong Fung starred at each other remembering old times until Lee Lok Wan interrupted them. At once they were both uncomfortable. Lee Sai Mun then left the temple with Chun Sik Sik, as Kong Fung watched on trying to be happy for them. Soon Lee Wai Gut returned to seek the help of Master Yin to eliminate all of Lee Sai Mun's supporters. First they sought to eliminate Lee Jing. Man Ching Ping sought the help of Lee Yin to kill his own brother. Lee Yin accepted the offer and made a move to kill Lee Jing who was saved by a monk. Lee Jing then killed his own brother Lee Yin, after realising that he would not change his ways.

After that event Lee Wai Gut sought to deal with Kong Fung and Ho Tin Moon. Master Yum anticipated that Wu Ling would create trouble for them and attempted to hold a kung fu forum to deal with them. Unfortunately Wu Ling killed all those who sought to attend the forum. Lee Wai Gut then worked on a tiger mountain trap which Master Yum fell for. A kung fu school sought the protection of Ho Tin Moon from Wu Ling so Master Yum, sent Kong Fung with a large group of students to protect the group. Whilst Kong Fung was gone, Man Ching Ping led the Wu Ling attack on Ho Tin Moon. They defeated Sima Yan, who then revealed the secret location of Master Yum who was practising kung fu.

Sima Yan wanted Master Yum dead so he could become the new leader of Ho Tin Moon. Man Ching Ping and his men immediately attacked Master Yum, who was unprepared for the attack and was thus killed. By the time Kong Fung realised that he had fallen into the tiger mountain trick it was too late. AS he returned to Ho Tin Moon, many of the students had already been killed. Kong Fung battled through and found Master Yum who was still breathing. Before his death Master Yum passed over the Ho Tin Moon insignia to Kong Fung, making the 20th leader. At first Kong Fung refused to accepted, but decided that it was duty later on. Master Yum also made Kong Fung promise to complete his Man Chung Sun Kung training, uphold the rules of the school and expand Ho Tin Moon. Kong Fung promised his master that all things would be done. Upon hearing this Master Yum died.
