Things that make me go hmmmm.....
7/8/98 That was the last time I saw the Gannons for the week of 7/6/98 but we did see Nora. Are you surprised? I am not; I knew that this murder would turn out to be more about Nora and Bo than Rachel, her Dad or her Uncle. After all, all Rachel did was commit murder; ;so now we have to hear and see about how needy her mother is; and how Nora was a bad mother. Do we get to see what compelled Rachel to be so angry that she would kill Georgie. Or how Hank feels; does Hank feel like a failure?
7/6/98 I was really happy to see the Gannons today. They were all trying to act as if things were normal; Sandra P. Grant has been superb since she confessed; it's a shame that murder and drugs are the only things that the PTB could give her to do all these years. I really felt Rachel's pain; her need to be heard and knowing that her parents couldn't get past themselves to hear her. The frustration she was feeling because she knew her mother wasn't listening. Thankfully she has her Uncle RJ; and fortunately Hank is actually listening to his brother, not Bo but RJ. Nora, well what can I say; I know she is Rachel's mother but why does everything in this story have to be about her.
6/30/98 Finally, PTB were able to get back to the story at hand - the murder. I feel as if suddenly the murder is no longer important; months went by on OLTL wondering who killed Georgie; Rachel confessed on Friday and I had to wait till Tuesday to see the Gannon Family again. We don't see the Gannons again until July 6th because now it is all about "Todd the Psycho." I could really go off about how I feel about that, but this isn't the place. This is the Gannon Site and I am not going to take up anymore space about Todd.
I, as a parent, understood exactly where Hank and Nora were coming from. The shock of Rachel being a killer has not sunk in yet; they have not allowed themselves to think past getting their "Baby Girl" out of jail. No parent wants to see their child behind bars. I guess I can understand Bo being the voice of reason; but I think that the voice of reason should have come from RJ. I would have liked to have seen RJ and Hank get in each others face; only this time it is RJ telling Hank what's up. Hank and Nora know how much RJ means to Rachel so for RJ not to be there in beginning bothered me. I understand Bo being there since he is Nora's husband, Rachel's stepfather; Hank's best friend, but no RJ until later? When RJ does show up he makes the most sense and no one is there to hear it.
I didn't like Rachel's attitude while in jail but, again, I guess I could understand her getting all whiny; I hardly believe though that she really believed that saying she was "sorry" was going to wipe her slate clean.

Hank Gannon
July 20 and 21, 1998
When court lets out Hank calls Bo to find out how Nora and Rachel are doing and Bo tells him that they're not there.
Hank: "Look, are you sure you're not overreacting?"
Bo: "I'm sure Hank."
Hank: "Maybe they went for a drive, Bo. I'm sure they wanted to spend time together while they can?"
Bo: "Looks like they're gonna spend alot of time together from the looks of things. Nora packed luggage." Hank: "What?" Bo: "Nora and Rachel can be anywhere by now."
In the meantime Nora and Rachel are at the cabin; Nora is telling Rachel that she isn't a murdered; Rachel says she knows that but she did murder someone. After a while Rachel figures out that her mother didn't get permission to take her out of the state.
Hank and Bo at the hospital coming out of the elevator: "Rachel is dead set on owning up to this."
Bo: "I don't think it's her idea."
Hank: "How could Nora be so stupid?"
Bo: "I don't know what she was thinking but if they did take off we've gotta get them back here before anybody finds out."
Drew walks up: "Is it true what you said on the phone?"
Bo: "Afraid so, son." Drew: "Why would Nora do this?"
Hank: "Wait a minute, why did you involve him in this?"
Bo: "Because he's family and he's not going to say anything and I think he ought to know."
Hank: "Bo, if I lose my daughter because of this..."
Drew: "Hey I'm the one who helped find her before; I might be able to do it again."
Sykes: "Buchanan what are you doing away from your post."
Bo: "It's family business." Sykes: "I'm sorry but the LPD no longer runs shot gun to the Buchanan name."
Bo: "maybe that's one of the reasons why things are run so badly."
Sykes: "Right now your son's only responsibility and business as a police officer fall under my purview. to Drew...Get back to you post. to hank... Would you like to update me?
Hank: If you're asking me about Manning, I intend to prosecute him to the limit.
Sykes: "Good, Good. Glad to hear that; just wanna make sure that we're on the same page."
After Sykes leaves Bo: "We gotta find someplace that's not so crowded."
Drew: "Hey I'm sorry I didn't know he was here otherwise, I wouldn't have come over."
Bo: "That's OK. Look we gotta keep an eye on Sykes. I'm gonna need your help, son."
Drew: "You got it, you got it. Well I'm stuck on duty now but..."
Bo: "OK. When your shift is over, we're gonna be at Hank's. See ya."
Back at Hank's: "Rachel's things are gone."Bo: "Does she have a passport?" Hank: "Ah, who knows; I mean she was required to turn it over to the courts once she was released on bail." Bo: "Nora's gone."
Hank: "Yeah, but this is no impulsive decision. Bo: "Yeah, I know that. Hank: "Bo, Nora had to plan this out." Bo: "Why didn't I see this coming?" Hank: "Yeah, good question. I mean a man should be able to read his woman. Bo, if you had spent more quality time with your wife she might not have put Rachel’s future in jeopardy."
Bo: "Let's not panic, OK? Obviously, Nora panicked and look where we are. You can get mad at me as much as you want to after this thing is over."
There is a knock at the door and Hank goes to answer it.
RJ walks in: "Man you need to work on your style 'cause that message you left me is more like an order than a request."
Hank: "Rachel skipped bail."What? Hank: "She took of with Nora."
RJ: " Why? Hank: "Do you know where she went?"
RJ: "I wish I did. What happened?"Hank: "That's what I am asking...did you help them?" RJ: "Can't anything happen in this life without you trying to pin it on me?" Hank: "Look, I just know how you feel about Rachel." Bo: "You gotta a lot of contacts, RJ."
RJ: "Do you listen when I speak, huh? Look, I'm the one who convinced your daughter to do her time and then put it behind her. I spent too much of my life looking over my shoulder to wish that on someone I love."
Bo: "That better be true." RJ: "And what do you know about truth? Huh? If anyone's to blame it's you, you and your wife."
Bo: "you know something, you two just may be right, but I think blaming Nora right now is a waste of time and energy. We gotta track 'em down."
RJ: "Too bad you had to go and lose your job because you had everything we need at your disposal."
Hank: "Look, guys let's get a move on, alright? We got at best a day to find them and get them back here before Sykes finds out what's going on."
Drew arrives, Hank goes to make some phone calls; Drew and Bo discuss the situation and then and what Drew can do to help, then Drew leaves.
Hank is off the phone and Bo asks: "Any luck?" Look, I called everybody who she might ask for help." Bo: "Did you call Sam, uh...did you call Tea?" Hank: "I said I called everyone."
RJ: "You boys are thinking like a cop and a lawyer, when you need to be thinking like a mother. Nora wants to hide her baby, she wants to keep her safe, so you need to think of someplace that's special to both of them."
Hank: "The lake." Bo: "The what?" "The lake. Look there's this lake Nora and Rachel used to go to. They were talking about it the other day when they were here. Lake Aurora, yeah. They were talking about how nice it would be to get up there and start all over again."
Bo: "OK, where's Lake Aurora?"
Hank: "South side of Chicago. Yeah, some friends of ours used to let us use their cabin when they were out of town."
RJ: "the Colemans?" Hank: "Yeah, David's family." RJ: "Let me make a phone call...see what I can find." Hank: "Alright, yeah, you do that. You know what I 'm gonna catch a plane..."
Bo: "No. Hank, look one of us has to stay here to keep up appearances. If we both take off right now, Sykes is gonna get suspicious."
Hank: "I can't go after my daughter? Bo: "Hank, look this may take a lot longer than we thought it would. When is the plea bargaining; day after tomorrow? What if something goes wrong, shouldn't you be here to cover it?
Hank: "Alright, yeah, yeah, you have a point. Look you better book a ticket 'cause reservations are gonna get real tight at the last minute."
Bo: "I'll make one call, Asa's jet will be fueled and ready on the tarmac."
Hank to RJ: "Anything?" RJ: "I found the son, David. He says that Celia and Eugene are in Europe; so the cabin's empty."
Bo: "That's it, I'm gone." Hank: "Alright. Listen, Bo, don't blow this, alright? I want my daughter back and I don't you let Nora talk you out of it."
Bo: "Don't worry about a thing, alright? If they are at the cabin I'm gonna have them back here before anyone knows they are gone."
Later, Hank is sitting on the sofa placing the phone back on the receiver as he tells RJ: "The phones are down for the summer...Ah, maybe it's just as well." RJ: "and how do you figure that?" Hank: "Maybe it's better if Rachel just disappears."
RJ: "I can't believe I'm hearing this. If Rachel starts running now the whole world become her prison. No, there's no hope for parole, no time off for good behavior; no nothing.
Sorry -- but here I don't know what I did but I pushed the wrong button and screwed up my tape and missed this part of the conversation. I think RJ was placing blame on Hank's ex-wife. Hank can't figure out what has happened to Nora, he hardly recognizes her.
Hank: "I just thought Bo would have brought her back to earth." RJ: "Having Sam Rappaport sniffing around Nora's every move couldn't have helped; man I hardly recognize her. How could she do this?"
Hank: "I know, I understand." RJ: "No, no I don't think you do. See, Rachel is the only person I try to make proud of me. Now Nora's taken her away. I don't think you know what that feels like. But I'll tell you this much, if Nora's stunt adds one day to Rachel's sentence I won't be responsible for my actions."Hank: "Well, I'm with you on that. They can't, they can't take Rachel away from us. I'm telling you, Bo better damn sure bring them back here before it's too late."
RJ: "Well it's too soon to be hearing from Bo." Hank: "Yeah, uh, I feel like I should be doing something." RJ: "Well looks like we're in the same lousy boat. I've never been this worried in my life."
There is a knock on the door and it is Drew, the keystone kop. He came over to inform Hank the progress he hasn't made. He also told him he couldn't check into Nora's credit card use because Sykes was suspicious. None of them know that Sykes is on to Drew's little investigation when Hank gets a phone call from Sykes.
Hank answers the phone: "Gannon." Sykes: "Good, I'm glad I got you in." Hank getting to the point: "Sykes what is it?" Sykes: "I'm afraid there's been a change of plans in the plea bargain session." Hank: "What kind of change?" Sykes: "Cyrus called and he just moved up the date." Hank: "Moved it up?" Sykes: "I will see you, your ex-wife, and your daughter in your office tomorrow at noon."
July 16 and 17, 1998
Hank and Bo walk into the office after Sam and Nora's plea bargain meeting with asst. DA Carr. Sam and Nora are on opposite sides of the office, with their backs to each other.
Hank: "Hey guys, Carr just shot by us like a rocket without a word. What happened in here?"
Bo walking over to Nora: "Honey?"
Nora: "Sam just sent Rachel off to prison."
Hank, Bo and Nora looking at the Sam as he stands there shaking his head.
Sam: "Rachel's best shot at a suspended sentence is to convince Carr he doesn't have a murder case, 'cause he can't prove it. And then, Nora goes off on a tangent about somebody else murdering Georgie."
Nora: "Which you didn't like 'cause it might implicate your surrogate son, Todd."
Sam: "My job is to help Rachel."
Nora: "Not at Todd's expense, God forbid."
Sam: "There are alot of ways to exonerate her."
Nora: "Carr wasn't buying one of them, I could see that."
Sam: "Of course he took a hard stand. Come on, it's early in the game. I didn't expect to sew it up today. Now I got a lot to fix, but I guarantee you, I'll fix it."
Sam leaves.Bo to Nora: "Let's have faith in Sam."
Nora: "I don't. I don't have faith. He's not on her side. Nora then turns to Hank and attacks him.
And you, what's the matter with you? How could you betray her like this? Aren't you the boss around here? Don't these people work for you and you go and assign Carr to this case? Carr... he's a walking agenda with a big chip on his shoulder. All he wants to do is get his hands with a big juicy murder case so he can pump his reputation. I mean what are you thinking of? What kind of father are you?
Hank: "I didn't want Carr to handle Rachel's plea bargain. Congressman Graham did; and so did Sykes. They run the show now."
Nora: "And you are so afraid of losing your job you couldn't stand up on your own for your own daughter?"
Hank: "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE LATELY? Who hired Georgie Phillips and who didn't fire Georgie Phillips when she started acting so weird? And why, huh? The girl played you like a fiddle and that ego of yours couldn't get enough of all that attention."
Bo: "We're not the enemy here."
Hank: "And why didn't you see that Rachel was strung out after Georgie got killed?
I will tell you why, because you were too busy playing with your old boyfriend, Sam (Hank turns to Bo)to pin the murder on your son."
Nora: "That is unfair, Hank."
Bo: "Can we not do this?"
Hank: "And now you want to blame me for the mess you made of her plea bargaining."
Nora: "The mess I made? What are you talking about?"
Hank: "WHY? Why would you argue with Sam in front of Carr? Let me tell you something if Rachel winds up in prison you will be responsible."
Bo: "Now stop, just stop it, now. Just knock it off both of you...this isn't helping."
Hank: "Stay out of it, Bo."Nora: "She's not your Daughter."Bo: "Well, I love her like she's mine and the last thing she needs right now is her parents taking pot shots at each other."
Hank: "This is something we have to settle between us."
Bo: "Rachel needs you two. You two are the two people she loves more than anything in the whole world. She's the one you two love more than anything. Let me remind you two of something else, you also love one another."
Nora: "God, I hate it when he is right."Hank: "Yeah."Nora: "I'm sorry Hank; this isn't your fault."Hank: "Yours either."Nora: "Oh, well, hmmm I should have done something."
Bo: "Maybe there's nothing you could do. Rachel stood up, she took responsibility for killing Georgie Phillips. That took real guts, don't take that away from her. It's only natural that you'd be second guessing yourselves right now. Don't let Rachel hear that. Things are gonna be tough enough for her, anything less than solid support from the two of you may just make things worse."
Hank: "Look, I never liked much fighting with you anyway, Nora."
Nora: "By the way, did I tell you the plea bargain didn't go so well?"
Hank: "Well look, that's ok. It's only the 1st round."
Nora: "I know. I know. I'll make that clear to Rachel."
Hank: "Listen, I want to go with you. I mean, this bad news will go down a lot easier with both of us there."
Bo: "It definitely would."
Hank: "Oh but I got a problem."Nora: "What is it?" Hank: "Todd's preliminary hearing starts in about 20 minutes."
Nora: "Well then I will go keep Rachel company 'til you get there. Ok? 'Cause Bo's right. She needs both of us right now."Hank and Nora hug each other.
Later in Bo walks in Hank's office, and Hank is standing at his mantel looking at his football trophy.
Bo: "You ok?"Hank: "Yeah, sure."Bo: "Nora just went to look for Rachel."
Hank: "Look Bo, about before...the fight with Nora. Listen, just... thanks for stepping between us."
Bo: "You two are under a lot of pressure so it's bound to come out."
Hank: "I can't keep my daughter out of prison, Bo. Bottom line, I'm the District Attorney of Llanview, Pa. and I can't keep my daughter out of prison."
Bo: "But you're not the D.A on this case, Carr's playing hardball." Hank is looking at a photo with himself and Rachel, and he looks at Bo.
Bo: "What?"Hank: "What Rachel did to you." Bo: "That's ok." Hank: "No, look she let you and Drew go to lock up for Georgie's murder. She let Nora go out of her mind with fear and worry."
Bo: "She was scared, Hank."
Hank: "Yeah and she's my baby. She's still my baby girl, Bo. Man, I love her so much...I always will and I can't protect her."
Later in front of the court room Hank and Bo run into Asa and Kevin; they chat and then Hank tells Bo that he doesn't need to hang around; he knows that Bo wants to go look for Nora. So after Bo is reassured he leaves.
In the courtroom Hank does his D.A. routine charging Todd with 14 counts of a lot of things; then he brings forth Blair, Asa, Kevin and Tea as witnesses against Todd. Not a whole lot of excitement.
July 13, 1998
Rachel is sitting on a sofa looking through a photo album, smiling to herself as Hank walks in looking over her shoulder, he sees a pictures and says:
Hank: that's when you caught your first fish by yourself. Boy you were so proud. Had some pretty good times back in the day, huh?"
Rachel: "Yeah, and then I messed up"
Hank: "Come on Riki, I don't want to hear you start talking like that."
Rachel: "Why not, Dad? It's true."
Hank: "Listen Baby, if you messed up you had a lot of help."
Rachel: "No, Dad. No, I did not. You see, you and Mom were always there for me; even after you split up."
Hank: "Yeah, right. There for you with all our expectations, our demands, our push, push..."
Rachel: "Daddy, it's not your fault, ok? Cuz I let you down..."
Hank: "Now Riki, you listen to me and get this in your head, you have never let me down."
Rachel: Really? Even when I was doing drugs? Even when I was ready to sell my body?"
Hank: "Riki, Riki, Riki, you came back stronger than ever."
Rachel: "Yeah, Dad. Strong enough to swing a big bat."
Hank: "Come on, don't do that."
Rachel: You know what, Daddy> I didn't come through it all. Sure I'm drug free; but I'm still messing up; I'm still disappointing you and I know you and Mom are upset that I'm pleading guilty."
Hank: "Now wait, wait, wait a minute; you want to talk about letting down? That's where I let you down...I mean barrelling in, making choices for you; never mind what you thought or how you saw the situation. I'm telling you that's gonna change."
Rachel: "You're right, Dad, it is because the prison warden's gonna be making my decisions for me now."
Hank: "Baby, you don't know that. If that happens, what I'm promising you now, after you served your time, you make your own choices."
Rachel: "So you just gonna pull out of my life?"
Hank: "No Baby, never. Did I say I wouldn't be there for you? You bet that much, you can absolutely count on it. But what you won't get are anymore demans or expectations; at least not from me, you'll have to learn to deal the ones you make, on yourself."
Rachel: "Thanks Dad, I love you."
Hank: "Oh Baby, I love you too."
July 8, 1998
Hank runs into Sam at the police station. Hank can't believe that Sam is there for Todd after everything that Todd has done. The conversation eventually gets turned around to Rachel and what Rachel wants. It seems that Hank has agreed with RJ and Rachel in regards to how Rachel wants to please. Hank asks Sam to talk to Nora; to convince her that Rachel can't go through a trial. Sam doesn't think he should be the one; he wants to stay as far away from Nora as possible. Hank tell him that he needs to put his personal for Nora aside.
July 6, 1998
RJ, Hank, Nora and Rachel are all sitting in Nora's living room eating Chinese; making an attempt at small talk:
Nora: "More moo shoo anyone?"
Hank: "No, no thanks, how about you, Riki?"
Rachel: "I am really not that hungry."
Nora: Ok.
Hank: "RJ, how are things going at the community center, huh?"
RJ: "Fine, just fine. I'm there everyday, packaging up canned goods for the food pantry, sweeping, or whatever. Trying to pay my debt to society.
Nora: "You know, I didn't buy any desert but I bet we have ice cream."
Rachel: "Mom."
Nora: "What?"
Rachel: "Why don't we just try to stop acting like this is a normal family dinner?."
Nora: "Well, we are family...?"
Rachel: "Yeah, we are that; and I am a family killer who's going to prison."
Nora: "That's not necessarily how the system works and you know it."
Rachel: "Well, about the system and what's right for it it's what's right for me."
Nora: "Sam can get you off".
Rachel: "Why should Sam get me off, since I am a killer? I'm going to prison and I can deal with that. Can you guys?"
Nora: "It was self-defense, you were provoked and Georgie could have killed you."
Rachel looking at RJ: "They're not going to let me do this."
RJ: "It's nopt up to them, is it?"
Rachel: "No."
Hank: "RJ, stay out of this."
RJ: "Ok, ok but you gotta listen to her."
Rachel: "I know what I want or, should I say what it is I don't want and that is some humiliating trial where I have to testify and relive these events over and over again; where in the end I am still guilty."
Nora: "Guilty or not, my dear, that doesn't necessarily mean you have to go to prison."
Rachel: "Mom, there are all kinds of prisons."
Nora: "Sweetie, these are things you talk to your lawyer about... talk to Sam about.
Rachel: "I'm sorry, so sorry, but I can't pretend. I am going to bed, I am tired."
Rachel goes upstairs, and Nora and Hank look at RJ as if this is all RJ's fault
Hank to RJ: "What are you trying to do, huh? Take a bad situation and make it worse? Or you just want Rachel as miserable as you are?"
Nora is upstairs while Rachel is in bed.
Nora: "Nothing can ever change the fact that I love you."
Rachel: "I disappoint you over, over and over."
Nora: "That's so untrue. From the very first moment that they layed you in my arms, I felt complete. And I know that things were never easy for you; and I didn't help. I wasn't a very good mother, but I would watch you in awe as you would fight those battles all on your own, all alone. Partly because you insisted, parlty because you had no choice. I just wasn't there. They were battles that you won, even the one against drugs. It was a horrible time for all of us but you won it. I don't want to have to fight anymore battles alone. You don't have to do this one alone. You can win this, but let us help you."
Rachel: "If I do, I will be lost."
Nora: "Why?"
Rachel: "Because you will be taking away the one thing I like about me, Mom, my strength. My ability to do something on my own, I need to accept this punishment; to see it through. It's the only way I will be able to earn a fresh start."
Nora: "You have so much potential."
Rachel: "Yeah Mom, potential is just potential and I want you to be proud of me, I do. But I have to be proud of myself"
Nora: "You don't have to go to prison, it's self defense. Sam can plead out self defense.
Rachel: "Mom, mom, mom I am not arguing with you about this, ok? I'm not arguing with you abouth again. Ok. Please, I need to sleep, I need to sleep.
Nora sits on the edge of Rachel's bed quietly crying to herself as Hank comforts her. Later, Hank in Nora's living room heaves a deep sigh when RJ walks in from the other room.
RJ: "Is Rachel asleep?"
Hank: "I thought you left."
RJ: "That's probably the closest she can get to living up to that high standard of yours, when she's asleep. It's gotta be tough."
Hank: "RJ this is not about me."
RJ laughs: "That's the right answer.
Hank: "She's my daughter."
RJ: "And you'd do anything for her."
Hank: "That's right."
Except the one thing she wants. Trust her. No you and Nora are to afraid that she's not rady for this; you're afraid she'll do hard time."
Hank: "You know about that, wouldn't you RJ?"
RJ: "Yeah I'd do anything if she didn't have to learn about it; but the difference is I trust her. You say she's tough but you don't believe that, I do, and Rachel knows I do. If you want to help her just believe in her. That's all she's ever wanted...that's all she's ever wanted from you and Nora."
Hank: "I'm afraid for her."
RJ: "No, no. You're afraid she'll go bad in jail; you're afraid she'll use drugs if you're not there to set a fine example. If you're always afraid she'll fail it's a self fulfilling prophecy. You see that?"
Nora: "And you're giving me advice."
RJ: "Imagine. Look it's not the end of her life; whether she goes to jail, doesn't matter nearly as much as how she comes out of it. (sigh) She'll be fine, you just gotta stand by her, Hank. That's all she needs. That all anyone needs, a little trust, a little faith."
June 30th
The scene is at the jail Nora, Bo and Hank with Rachel behind bars:
Rachel whining: "Mom, I want to go home."
Nora soothingly: "You will soon sweetie, I promise."
Rachel acting like she doesn't have a clue: "Why can't you get me out of here?"
Hank: "We are working on your bail."
Rachel: "Bail? Why do I even need bail? I came clean. Didn't I, Dad? Drew forgave me. Why can't that just be enough?"
Hank: "No Baby; that should be but that's not the way it works; we have to follow procedures."
Rachel: "Legal procedures. I know about legal procedures. I just can't stand it in here anymore. (whine) Just take me home."
Hank: "Soon. I promise, soon."
In the meantime Bo is looking back and forth at Nora and Hank like he just can't believe what he is hearing from these two people and he interrupts:
Bo: "Can I talk to you two a second?" The three of them step away an inch or two: "What are you doing?"
Nora: "We are doing what any parent would do, Bo."
Bo: "You're not just parents, though. You're lawyers, you work with criminals everyday."
Hank: "Bo, don't lecture us now. Rachel's going thru hell."
Bo: "I think you're making it worse right now by getting her hopes up. We both know the score; there's a good chance that Rachel is going to go to prison."
Rachel stand up and looks at Bo-
Rachel: "I won't go to prison."
Nora: "ok Sweetie, everything is going to be alright."
Bo: "All three of you have to face reality; Rachel killed a woman."
Nora: "In self-defense."
Bo: "Maybe, you got any witnesses?"
Hank: "Bo, whose side are you on?"
Bo: "I'm on your side. But I think you are caught up in your own pain right now. You aren't looking at the legal ramifications. Oh... I don't know, maybe you don't want to."
Nora: "I think I know the law, Bo."
Bo: "Then you know that it's Rachel's word against a corpse. Then when you consider all the other stuff."
Hank: "What other stuff?"
Bo: "Well, for one thing she sat on the truth; she let me take the rap for this."
Nora: "Oh, I get it, I'm sorry this is a personal thing."
Bo: "No, no this is a legal thing. Rachel killed Georgie; not me; not Drew, not anybody else."
Nora: "In self-defense."
Bo: "I understand that. The point is she kept quiet about it all during the hostage situation; even when Asa was having a heart attack."
Rachel: "I said I was sorry."
Bo: "and I am glad to hear it. But how good is that going to look to a judge and jury?"
Hank: "Listen, we appreciate your concern But Rachel is going to be acquitted. We're getting Sam on the case."
Bo: "Sam, good. yea, yea, (as he looks at Nora) well, we don't have enough problems?"
Nora: "It's a legal thing. Sam is the very best. He was good enough for you, isn't he good enough for Rachel?"
Bo: "Fair enough. I'm going to be straight with you, though. Rachel, even the mighty Rappaport is going to have a hard time convincing the jury not to send you to prison."
The guards let RJ in.
RJ looking at all of them: "Maybe I can help?"
Bo as he walks out: "You know, RJ, I think you just might be able to."
RJ to Nora and Hank: "Do you mind?"
Nora: "be upstairs, Baby."
