All gather and proceed to main temple. Each person holds drums, bells, offerings, etc. We enter to the right & approach in the east chanting

ALL:"Io Io Bromios! Io Io Iachus! Io Io Bacchus!"

Each person in turn faces anointing priestess at the entrance of the temple saying:

ALL: "I seek to know the mysteries of the god"

Priestess anoints each third eye with symbol of the moon and sun conjoined.

Anointing Priestess: "We welcome you in honor &truth, dedicant"

HIEREIA: "Bear the sacred objects round the altar."

All walk around circle 3X with offerings. All then gather close to altar. HPS seals circle with rattle.

Consecreate & Purify Space and participants. Daiduchos take a burning torch and dances around circle and then thrusts it into the lustral water.

Magnetic Priestess: "Hekas, o hekas, este bebeloi! Let all profane ones depart!"

Priestess washes hands of devotees after purifying space. Second maiden walks behind with towel to dry hands

Dynamic Priest: "Hekas, o hekas, este bebeloi! Let all profane ones depart!"

Walk around room with incense then cense devotees.

Daiduchos dances around circle with flame and lights central fire. She steps back and says :

Daiduchos: "Euphemeite!"

All make the sign of Harpocrates & enjoy moment of silence.

Barley Bearer passes barley or other suitable offering to each devotee. Devotees meditate on their devotions to the gods while Hiereia offers wine to the fire.

Hiereia:"Bring forward the offerings. Be blessed by barley, wine and incense"

Devotees cast handfuls of barley onto the altar

Hiereia finishes barley offering by throwing handful of incense into flame.

Priestess uses athame to sacrifice each offering by placing the sacrificial dagger into item and throwing a piece of each bowl into the fire saying:

All: "Accept and Delight in our Offerings."

At the same time, the women ululate. A plate goes to Hestia, a plate to the ancestors, & a plate to Dionysus, the rest of the food is placed aside for the devotees later in the rite.

Music Priestess: "I call upon loud-roaring and reveling Dionysos, primeval, two-natured, thrice-born, Bacchic lord, savage, ineffable, secretive, two-horned and two-shaped. Ivy-covered, bull-faced, warlike, howling, pure, you take raw flesh; you have triennial feasts, wrapt in foliage, decked with grape clusters. Resourceful Eubouleus, immortal god sired by Zeus when he mated with Persephone in unspeakable union. Hearken to my voice, O blessed one, and with your fair-girdled nurses breathe on us in a spirit of perfect kindness. Dionysus Come, blessed Dionysos, bull-faced god conceived in fire, Bassareus and Bacchos, many-named master of all.You delight in bloody swords and in the holy Maenads, as you howl throughout Olympus, O roaring and frenzied Bacchos. Armed with thyrsus and wrathful in the extreme, you are honored by all the gods and by all the men who dwell upon the earth. Come, blessed and leaping god, and bring much joy to all. Aphegesis

Hiereia: "I do call thee to presence here this night. I call thee as a maenad who has danced naked in the fields in your honor, I have shared your mysteries with others and danced and sung in your glory. I have laughed and made love in your honor. I have taken the chord of the initiate in your sacred halls. In this trust, I call you, as we have been lovers a long time, my blessed one. If ever I've fulfilled the vows I've made, then hear me now and grant to me thine aid. (Offering of more incense) This is your time to meditate on your own devotion to Dionysus.

Everyone in the room can say something at this point, if they have personal commitments to Dionysus.

Deesis

Hiereia: "We call thee to manifest in this circle tonight, to enter our hearts and souls and fill us with your inspiration, with your joy, with your divine passion. We seek to experience the ecstasy of connection as we dance, and drink & laugh together this evening. We seek to know the spirit of the god, so that we can understand the mysteries of our inner nature. In this, we will unite in love and honor recognizing the beauty in all. Help us in this quest, O' laughing & dancing god, O' lord of the vine & the grape & the heart of man. Hear me Dionysus! (Kluthi mou!) Come to me Dionysus ! (Elthe moi!) Hither, Blessed One! (Deuro Makar!)"

Hiereia invokes Priests, crowns them with ivy and gold, & gives them five-fold kiss. Priests speak.

Hiereia: "This purpose of tonight's rite is to experience the ecstatic state of Dionysus as we invoke him through art, music, dance, wine, sensuality, & magick. This gnosis is divine and blessed. We are also here to experience the mysteries of the blessed one, Dionysus."

Older Dionysus & Younger Dionysus walk around to each participant. The elder carries a scrying bowl, the younger a glorious mask of the god. Each person is told to look deeply into the bowl & see themselves in their true form. As they do, the younger Dionysus holds up mask to show their connection to the god. Angel of Illumination carries lamp of knowledge behind mask.

The elder says "Look deep into the well & behold thetruth within"

The younger says: "The mystery of eternal youth"

Phallus is unveiled by Angel & Hiereia.

Hiereia: "Behold the power of our lord, the truth without. Thou are that, God & Goddess"

Golden Angel of Illumination scourges participants lightly or heavily depending on request & banishes obstacles.

Angel: Begone all obstacles that keep thee from manifesting thy highest nature"

A sacred herbal elixir shall be prepared to evoke the powers of Dionysus. All shall chant into the cup & raise z'cone of power while chanting the following and direct energy into elixer.

All: "IO IO Bromios IO IO Iachhus IO IO Bacchus"

Maneads form inner circle and begin to call move & sway with the music, letting themselves enter a light to medium trance state. Orphic Priestess shakes rattle and sings:

"Blessed, blessed are those who know the mysteries of the god.
Blessed are they who hallow their life in the worship of the god,
They whom the spirit of the god possesseth,
who is one with those who belong to the holy body of god.
Blessed are the dancers and those who are purified,
who dance on the hill in the holy dance of the god.
Blessed are the thyrsus-bearers, those who wield in their hands the holy wand of the god.
Blessed are those who wear the crown of the ivy of god.
Blessed, blessed are they: Dionysos is their god!"
Join with us, as satyr and maenad!
Dance & make music in the rapture of the god!

Maenads step forward, kiss Dionysus who is in center of circle, turn around one by one and say who they are and what their function is.

Art Priestess 1: I am the art of Dionysus, the passion of inspiration in his blood, the first impulse to create.

Music Priestess 1: I am the music of Dionysus, the soft lullaby the lulls the soul into a dreamy trance & the hard rhythm of natures sweet dance
Dance Priestess 1: I am the dance of Dionysus, the conscious movement of energy through the body
Sexual Priestess 1: I am the sensuality of Dionysus, surrender to the raptures of the flesh
Oracular Priestess 1: I am the oracle of Dionysus, the seer who gazes deeply into the black mirror.
Art Priestess 2: I am the artist within you, the skillful hands that allow you to form and shape the universe that you create
Music Priestess 2: I am the musician within you, that wraps around your soul in the steady beat of life.
Dance Priestess 2: I am the dancer within you, that longs to twirl & spin, to leap & sway.
Sexual Priestess 2: I am the lover within you, who is both tender & wilde.
Magick Priestess 2: I am the Magick of Dionysus, the current of illumination that runs through the body like a river, healing all in its path.

Music begins and maenads join outer circle except for belly dancers & dancers evoke Dionysus. People are brought in one by one by sacred dancers and ivy crown is placed on head. Several maenads pass out wine & grapes and people make music, there is much rejoicing & merriment. There will be several areas set up depending on the moods of the participants at this time: A place for dancing, a place for art & music, a place for sacred sexuality, a place for oracular work & healing, & a place for general merriment. Bacchantes will be walking around with drink to quench thirst of the dancers. During this time, as we seek to reach a high trance state, all discussion and comments between devotees are to be considered oracular. All devotees are considered to be touched by the god during the Bacchic frenzy. We shall dance & feast & make music and love all in his honor. ; P Time shall pass until the HIEREIA feels people have gotten thoroughly consumed by the wine and lost themselves.

A second chalice of clear water has also been prepared ritually sacred rites.

Hierophant: "Now you have died and now you have come into being, o thrice blessed one, on this same day. Tell Persephone that Bacchus himself has set you free. Bull, you jumped into milk. Goat, you jumped into milk. Ram, you fell into milk. You have wine as your fortunate honor. And below the earth there await you the same rites as for the other blessed ones." "You will find to the left of the House of Hades a spring, and by its side a white cypress standing. Do not approach near this spring. You will find another, with cold water flowing from the Lake of Memory, and sentinels before it. Say, 'I am a child of Earth and starry Heaven, but my race is of Heaven. You know this already. But I am parched and perishing of thirst. Quick, give me the cold water flowing from the Lake of Memory.' Then they will freely let you drink from the holy spring, and, after, you will have lordship with the other heroes."

Sentinels walk to each person, all say:

All:"I am a child of the earth and the starry heaven, but my race is from heaven. You know this already. But I am parched and perishing of thirst. Quick, give me the cold water flowing from the Lake of Memory"

They are given to drink, & therefore receive the powers of the gods.

Hiereia: "The mystery have been revealed and concealed. Euphemeite!"

Hiereia makes final offering of incense and wine.

Hiereia: "We thank thee for attending this rite and ere you depart to your starry realms."

Hestia Priestess: "We always end with Thee, Hestia."

Hiereia opens circle with a decisive shaking of the rattle & quick drum roll.
