Concert Review August 8, 2001 I recently saw Econoline Crush on Saturday, August 4th. The concert was absolutely amazing. Seeing as it was my first time seeing them live, I wasn't really sure what to expect. They completely blew me away... I was in the very front - A place where Trevor frequently visited while jumping around the Molson grandstand. He looked very enthusiastic throughout the entire set and it made the crowd feel great that the band was having just as much fun as they were. I was surprised to hear them play Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like A Hole" during the middle of their very first single, Wicked. It was definetely one of the highlights of the show. They left the stage after only an hour and I was dissapointed they hadn't played Home and Burnt. Luckily, they came back for two encores and played both the songs as well as 4 or 5 other ones; I was thrilled. My friends and I stayed after the outdoor concert in hopes of getting a few autographs and meeting the band. The security was rather rude so we had no luck. Econoline Crush have proven to me, yet again, that they sure know how to rock. Simply listening to the albums is still only 50% of the experience, I think I filled the other half when I saw this show. Go see them if they play in your city, they're amazing. ~KasarA~ |
