The Chattanooga ChooChoo

Despite this seeming setback, it is an interesting place to spend the night, with its own unique charm. Lovely gardens between the railcars (old sleepers you can rent like rooms) and restaurant/bar, remanants of the switching yard and an electric car facility with frequent shuttles thru downtown to the Tennessee Aquarium make it possible to spend the day at the hotel without having to pile into the car and figure out where in the hell you are.

If you do not choose to reserve a sleeper car ahead of time, the compound features several more buildings of regular rooms. Each building also has a swimming pool or fountain, or both. The architecture adds an unusual atmosphere to the place. It's a trip to remember and for good reasons.
