View from the parking lot of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Holiday Inn onto Market Street |
Portions of the rail station have been kept in the design of the hotel, such as the RR crossing signal. (I think the speed bumps are an addition.) To the right of the picture is the tail end of one of Chattanooga's electric shuttles, buses running every fifteen minutes in a loop thru downtown. The shuttle service provides a leisurely way to see what's available as far as shopping, urban services, and restaurants. The loop includes a stop at the Tennessee Aquarium and IMAX Theatre. An arrow directing one southwest towards Ruby Falls and Nick's Liquors are visible in the background. |
