entry #37 in the fall contest
Altho we were in Pigeon Forge during "peak week",
dry conditions during the summer had dampened hopes
for a vibrant mountain fall. To futher mute the dramatic
backdrops foliage can provide were unseasonable mild
temps. None of the woods around Pigeon Forge or
Gatlinburg were anywhere near peak in mid-October
2002, not even in the higher elevations.
